Yet peace-new mufic floats on Ether's wings;
Say, is it Harmony herfelf who fings?
No! while enraptur'd Sylphs the song infpire,
'Tis POPE who fweetly wakes the filver lyre,
To melting notes, more mufically clear
Than Ariel whisper'd in Belinda's ear.
Too foon he quits them for a fharper tone;
See him, though form'd to fill the epic throne
Decline the fceptre of that wide domain,
To bear a lictor's rod in fatire's train,
And, throuded in a mist of moral spleen,
Behold him close the visionary scene.
