This Act may be cited as the "Vancouver Incorporation Act Short title. Amendment Act, 1925." 2. Section 173 of the "Vancouver Incorporation Act," being Amends s. 173. chapter 55 of the Statutes of British Columbia, 1921 (Second Session), is amended by striking out all the words after the word "affected" in the tenth line thereof. 3. Section 175 of said chapter 55 is amended by inserting after Amends s. 175. the word "city," in the sixth line, the words "or out of capital funds raised by the issue of debentures upon the general credit of the city at large for the purpose of creating a general fund to provide the city's share of the cost of local improvements and works either before or after the initiation, commencement, or completion thereof." The provisions of this section shall be deemed to apply to any by-law initiated or passed by the Council for any such purposes subsequent to the first day of November, 1925. 4. Section 186 of said chapter 55 is amended by striking out the Amends s. 186. words "ten days" in the tenth line; and by inserting after the word "publication," in the eleventh line, the following words: "for at least once in each week for two weeks." Enacts s. 342. Enacts s. 343. 5. Said chapter 55 is amended by adding thereto the following sections: "342. The costs, fees, and expenses of and incident to the holding of any inquest upon any dead body found within the limits of the city shall be borne and defrayed by the city: Provided that this section shall not be deemed to impose any liability upon the city in respect of the death of any person not being a resident of the city resulting from an accident occurring outside the limits of the city. "343. Every unclaimed human body found dead within the limits of the city shall be buried at the expense of the city, but the city may recover the amount of the expense from the estate of the deceased."
