Page 18 - After a dispensation is granted to form a new Commandery, the membership of the Knights who petitioned therefor remains in abeyance as to the older Commanderies to which they belonged when signing the petition. They become active members of the Commandery while under dispensation, and when a charter is granted, and the Commandery constituted, they continue to be members of the new Commandery, and cease to be members of the old one.
