An Act to increase the Salary payable to the Governor. Royal Assent Proclaimed, January 17th, 1923. E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, BE with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as the "Governor's Salary Act, 1922." 2. The salary payable to the Governor shall be at the rate of Five Thousand Pounds a year. 3. There shall be payable to His Majesty every financial year out of the General Revenue of the State, in addition to the sum of Four Thousand Pounds reserved to His Majesty in the Civil List contained in Schedule A of the Constitution Act, for payment of the salary of the Governor, the further sum of One Thousand Pounds. Short title. Governor's salary to be £5,000 per annum. Additional £1,000 4. The salary provided for by this Act shall be payable from the Increased salary first day of October, nineteen hundred and twenty-two. 5. Notwithstanding the provisions of the Taxation Act, 1915, the salary provided for by this Act shall be exempt from taxation under the said Act. This Act may be cited as the " Electoral Code Amendment Short title. Act, 1922." 2. The Electoral Code Amendment Act, 1921, is hereby Repeal of Electoral repealed.
