An Act to increase the Salary payable to the Governor. Royal Assent Proclaimed, January 17th, 1923. E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, Bitith the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows: 1. This Act may be cited as the "Governor's Salary Act, 1922." Short title. 2. The salary payable to the Governor shall be at the rate of Governor's salary to Five Thousand Pounds a year. 3. There shall be payable to His Majesty every financial year out of the General Revenue of the State, in addition to the sum of Four Thousand Pounds reserved to His Majesty in the Civil List contained in Schedule A of the Constitution Act, for payment of the salary of the Governor, the further sum of One Thousand Pounds. be £5,000 per annum. Additional £1,000 per annum payable to His Majesty as Governor's salary. 4. The salary provided for by this Act shall be payable from the Increased salary first day of October, nineteen hundred and twenty-two. payable from 1st 5. Notwithstanding the provisions of the Taxation Act, 1915, Salary exempt from the salary provided for by this Act shall be exempt from taxation income tax. under the said Act.
