No. 1. Commitment for uttering Seditious Expressions of and concerning the King.

p. . ante]. For having on unlawfully uttered certain treasonable and seditious words and contemptuous expressions of, and concerning the king, to wit, [that the king was a bloody

rascal, and that he wished he was put to death], against the peace, &c.

No. 2. The like for other Seditious words.

For unlawfully, wickedly, and maliciously uttering, speaking, and publishing certain wicked, malicious, and seditious words of and concerning our sovereign lord the king, and tending to bring him into contempt with his liege subjects, that is to say, [God damn and blast the king,] meaning our said lord the king, against the peace, &c.

No. 3. The like for uttering Seditious Words against his

Majesty.

With having on in the county of maliciously spoken, expressed, uttered, and declared certain words and sentences, to incite and stir up the people to hatred and contempt of the person of his majesty, to wit, [damn and bugger the king, I wish his bloody head was off], against the peace, &c.

No. 4. The like for uttering Seditious Words against his Majesty, the Prince of Wales, and Duke of York, and all the Royal Family.

For that he the said unlawfully, wickedly, and seditiously did utter and declare in the presence and hearing of divers of the liege subjects of our lord the king, the malicious and seditious words together, to wit, [Damn the king, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of York, and all the royal family: I wish they were all blown up in the middle of hell with gunpowder], against the peace, &c.

No. 5. The like for Seditious Words, not stating them.

With unlawfully, wilfully, and maliciously uttering and publishing divers seditious, scandalous, and inflammatory words of, and concerning our said lord the king, with intent to bring him into hatred and contempt with his liege subjects, against the peace, &c.

No. 6. The like for Seditious Words respecting the Rebellion in Ireland, not stating them.

With wilfully, maliciously, and seditiously speaking, uttering, and publishing divers false, seditious, and inflammatory words of and concerning the late rebellion in Ireland, and wishing success to the pikes, meaning the Irish rebels, with intent to move and incite the liege subjects of our lord the king, to hatred and contempt of our lord the king, and the government of his realm, against the peace, &c.

No. 7. The like for publishing a Seditious Libel.

With unlawfully printing and publishing, and causing, and procuring to be printed and published, a certain wicked, scandalous and seditious libel, entitled [" Thomas Paine to the People of England, and on the Invasion of England,”] containing therein divers wicked, false, scandalous, and seditious matters of and concerning our lord the king, and the constitution of this kingdom, and of and concerning the administration of the government and the public affairs of this kingdom, and the principal officers and ministers, and also the liege subjects of our said lord the king, with intent to disturb the peace, and bring the person and government of our said lord the king and the constitution of this kingdom, into hatred and contempt, against the peace, &c.

No. 8. The like for a Libel on the King.

With unlawfully, maliciously, and seditiously publishing and causing to be published a certain pamphlet, entitled ["Politics for the People, or Hog's Wash,"] containing therein certain scandalous malicious, inflammatory, and seditious matters of and concerning our lord the king, against the peace of our said lord the king, his crown and diguity.

No. 9. The like for a Libel on the King and his Adminis

tration.

With unlawfully, wickedly, and maliciously devising, designing, and intending, as much as in them lay, to bring our lord the king and his administration of the government of this kingdom, and the persons employed by him in the administration of the government of this kingdom into great and public

hatred and contempt, annoyed all his liege subjects and to alienate and withdraw from our said lord the king the cordial love and affection, true and due obedience, fidelity, and allegiance of the subjects of our said lord the king, on

No. 10. The like for a Seditious Libel on the King's Government, and Employment of his Troops.

With wickedly, maliciously, and seditiously intending, devising, and contriving to stir and excite discontents and seditions among his majesty's subjects, and to alienate and withdraw the affection, fidelity, and allegiance of his said majesty's subjects from his said majesty, and to insinuate and cause it to be believed, that divers of his majesty's innocent and deserving subjects had been inhumanely murdered by his said majesty's troops, in the province, colony, or plantation of the Massachusett's Bay in New England, in America, belonging to the crown of Great Britain, and unlawfully and wickedly, to seduce and encourage his said majesty's subjects in the said province, colony, or plantation, to resist and oppose his majesty's government on with force and arms at wickedly, maliciously, and seditiously did write and publish, and cause and procure to be written and published, a certain false, wicked, malicious, scandalous, and seditious libel, of and concerning his said majesty's government and the employment of his troops, against the peace, &c.

No. 11. The like, on the Government and Constitution of the Kingdom, and also on the Administration, in order to deter Subjects from resisting Invasion.

Unlawfully, seditiously, and maliciously contriving and intending to traduce, vilify, and bring into hatred and contempt amongst the liege subjects of our lord the king, the government, and constitution of this kingdom both in church and state as now by law established, and also our said lord the king's administration of the government of this kingdom, and
