Amends section 71.

Short title.

“(3.) Thirty-two dollars for an extra payment of four dollars each, to be made to those jurymen who shall try the case."

5. Section 71 of the said Act is hereby amended by striking out the words "of the jurors empanelled," in the second line, and also by striking out the words "or empanelled," in the third line.

6. This Act may be cited as the "Jurors Amendment Act, 1889."

An Act to grant certain Lands for charitable and other purposes.

ER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Prvince of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

1. It shall be lawful for the Lieutenant-Governor in Council to Grant of lot 1, block grant, upon such conditions and trusts as he shall think fit, to the 30, New Westmin ster City, to St. Trustees for the time being of the St Paul's Reformed Episcopal Church Paul's Reformed all and singular that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, Episcopal Church. lying, and being in the City of New Westminster, and more particularly known and described as Lot No. 1, Block XXX., as shewn on the official map of said City of New Westminster.

2. It shall be lawful for the Lieutenant-Governor in Council to Grant to City of grant, upon such conditions and trusts as he shall think fit, to the Cor- Vancouver of part of lot 2, block 2, Granporation of the City of Vancouver all and singular that certain parcel ville townsite. or tract of land and premises situate, lying, and being in the City of Vancouver, and more particularly known and described as Lot No. 2, Block II., part of the former Townsite of Granville, excepting thereout a portion of said lot one and one-half feet wide, adjoining Lot No. 1 in said Block II.

3. It shall be lawful for the Lieutenant-Governor in Council to Grant of land in grant, upon such conditions and trusts as he shall think fit, to the Cor- Schedule to City of poration of the City of Victoria all and singular those parcels or tracts of land described in the Schedule to this Act.

It shall be lawful for the Lieutenant-Governor in Council to Grant of lot 570c, grant in fee to Peter Holmes Lot 570c, as shewn on the official map Peter Holmes, Victoria City, to or plan of the sub-division of Beckley Farm, dated 7th January, A.D. 1863, deposited in the Lands and Works Department.

All and singular that certain parcel or tract of land and premises situate, lying, and being in the City of Victoria, and more particularly known and described as Block 50 (fifty), as shewn on the official map of the said City of Victoria; also,

All and singular those certain parcels or tracts of land and premises situate, lying, and being in the City of Victoria, and more particularly known and described as Lots Nos. 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, Block 66 (sixty-six), as shewn on the official map of the said City of Victoria; also,

All and singular those certain pieces or tracts of land and premises situate, lying, and being on the north side of Belleville Street, in the City of Victoria, and more particularly known and described as Lots Nos. 549A, 550A, 551A, 563A, 564A, 567A, 568A, and 569A, as shewn on the official map or plan of the sub-division of Beckley Farm, dated 7th January, A.D. 1863, deposited in the Lands and Works Department; also,

All and singular that certain piece or tract of land situate in Lake and Victoria Districts, known as Mount Douglas Crown Reserve.

(2.) This section shall not apply to any municipality.
