An Act to amend the Sparrow Destruction Act, 1889. [Assented to, September 8th, 1921.]

BE

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited alone as the "Sparrow Destruc- Short titles. tion Act Amendment Act, 1921."

(2) The Sparrow Destruction Act, 1889 (hereinafter called "the No. 467 of 1889. principal Act"), and this Act may be cited together as the Sparrow Destruction Acts, 1889 to 1921."

2. This Act is incorporated with the principal Act, and that Incorporation with Act and this Act shall be read as one Act.

3. The Governor may, by proclamation, declare to be a sparrow district for the purposes of the principal Act that portion of the State of South Australia which lies between the western boundary of the said State and a line running parallel with such boundary at a distance of fifty miles to the eastward thereof.

4. The Minister of Agriculture shall be deemed to be the local authority for the sparrow district proclaimed under this Act, and within such district for the purposes of the principal Act shall have, and be subject to, all the powers, rights, and duties conferred or imposed upon local authorities by the principal Act, except, as regards duties, those imposed by section 4 of the principal Act.

5. The

Western Australia.

Minister of Agriculture to be local authority for sparrow district.

Minister may arrange with Western Australian Government for appointment of inspectors.

5. The Minister of Agriculture may arrange with a Minister of the Crown of the State of Western Australia acting on behalf of the Government of that State for the remuneration in whole or in part by such Government of inspectors and officers for the sparrow district proclaimed under this Act.

An Act to further amend the Loans to Producers Act, 1917, and for other purposes.

[Assented to, September 8th, 1921.]

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia,

B with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited alone as the "Loans to Producers Short titles. Act Amendment Act, 1921."

(2) The Loans to Producers Acts, 1917 and 1919, and this Act may be cited together as the "Loans to Producers Acts, 1917 to 1921."

(3) In this Act the Loans to Producers Act, 1917, is referred to No. 1312 of 1917. as "the principal Act."

2. Section 4 of the principal Act is amended by inserting after Amendment of subsection (1) thereof the following subsection:

(1A) A co-operative society shall be deemed to be engaged, or to be about to engage, in rural production if at least threefourths of its members are engaged, or are about to engage, in rural production.

this Act to any co-operative society, whether such co-operative society was or was not engaged, or about to engage, in rural production at the time when such loan was made, shall be deemed to have been validly made under the provisions of the said Act.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited alone as the Sale of Fruit Act Short titles. Amendment Act, 1921."

(2) The Sale of Fruit Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to principal Act"), and this Act may be cited together as the Fruit Acts, 1915 and 1921."
