SIXTH SCHEDULE.

MATTERS TO BE PROVIDED FOR BY THE RULES OF A SOCIETY WITH
RECOGNISED BRANCHES.

(1) As respects the Society and each branch of the Society:

(a) the name and the situation of the principal office;

(b) the manner of election and removal of the Committee of Management and, in cases where the affairs are managed by delegates, the manner of election and removal of such delegates;

(c) the composition, powers, and duties of the Committee of Management;

(d) the manner of election and removal and powers and duties of trustees and other officers;

(e) the remuneration or manner of ascertaining the remuneration of members of Committee, trustees and other officers;

(f) the determination of the time and place of holding and the manner of convening all meetings;

(g) the voluntary dissolution;

(h) the making and alteration of rules.

(2) The manner and conditions in and upon which a branch may secede or be expelled from the Society and the manner of ascertaining the members of a seceding or expelled branch who desire to remain members of the Society.

(3) The manner of admission and expulsion of members.

(4) The inspection of the books of the Society and of each branch of the Society by every person having interest in the Funds of the Society or branch, including power to the Committee of Management of the Society to inspect the books of any branch.

(5) The manner of determining disputes between the Society or branch thereof and any person who is, or has ceased to be, a member of the Society or branch or any person claiming through such person or between the Society and any branch or between two or more branches.

SEVENTH SCHEDULE.

PART I.

Provisions of the Arbitration Act, 1889, applied.

Section 7.-The arbitrators or umpire acting under a submission shall, unless the submission expresses a contrary intention, have power

(a) to administer oaths or to take the affirmations of the parties and witnesses appearing; and

(c) to correct in an award any clerical mistake or error arising from any accidental slip or omission.

Section 8.-Any party to a submission may sue out a writ of subpoena ad testificandum, or a writ of subpoena duces tecum, but no person shall be compelled under any such writ to produce any document which he could not be compelled to produce on the trial of an action.

Section 12.-An award on a submission may by leave of the Court or a judge be enforced in the same manner as a judgment or order to the same effect.

Section 19.-Any referee, arbitrator, or umpire may at any stage of the proceedings under a reference, and shall, if so directed by the Court or judge, state in the form of a special case for the opinion of the Court any question of law arising in the course of the reference.

Section 20.-Any order made under this Act may be made on such terms as to costs or otherwise as the authority making the order thinks just.

First Schedule.-(f) The parties to the reference and all persons claiming through them respectively shall, subject to any legal objection, submit to be examined by the arbitrators or umpire, on oath or affirmation, in relation to the matters in dispute, and shall, subject as aforesaid, produce before the arbitrators or umpire, all books, deeds, papers, accounts, writings, and documents within their possession or power respectively which may be required or called for, and do all other things which during the proceedings on the reference the arbitrators or umpire may require.

(i) The costs of the reference and award shall be in the discretion of the arbitrators or umpire, who may direct to and by whom and in what manner those costs or any part thereof shall be paid, and may tax or settle the amount of costs to be so paid or any part thereof, and may award costs to be paid as between solicitor and client.
