In preparing this edition of Collier on Bankruptcy the text has been rewritten and much expanded to give a correct statement of the law of bankruptcy as it exists today. The analysis and arrangement of many of the important sections have been changed and many new headings added. There has been, however, no attempt to change the general plan of the work which twelve previous editions have demonstrated to be the proper and logical treatment of a subject like bankruptcy, which is purely statutory.

Many new forms, about 250, have been added to cover almost every conceivable form necessary in bankruptcy proceedings, making a total of over 450 forms. Frequent references have been made in the text to these forms, while corresponding references have been made in notes to the forms to the particular part of the text to which they are applicable.

The system of keying each case reported in the monthly numbers of the AMERICAN BANKRUPTCY REPORTS, NEW SERIES, by notes referring to the section of the Bankruptcy Act and the paragraph and page of COLLIER where the proposition or principle involved in the case is discussed, will enable the users of COLLIER to keep constantly up to date on all bankruptcy decisions as reported. Another new feature is a time table of procedure showing the time required for the performance of various acts required in bankruptcy practice.

The most important centers of bankruptcy litigation have been covered in this edition by including the latest Bankruptcy Rules of many of the United States District Courts.

Many new cross-references have been made to standard English and Canadian textbooks on bankruptcy.

The Index has been entirely rewritten.

This edition includes cases down to and including 49 American Bankruptcy Reports, page 288.

The editors confidently believe that this new edition, in connection with the monthly and yearly supplemental service offered in connection therewith, will meet with the same hearty approval as have its predecessors.
