An Act to further amend the Width of Tires Act, 1923. [Assented to, January 6th, 1926.]

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Width of Tires Act Short titles. Amendment Act, 1925."

(2) The Width of Tires Acts, 1923 and 1924, and this Act may be

cited together as the "Width of Tires Acts, 1923 to 1925."

(3) The Width of Tires Act, 1923, is hereinafter referred to as "the No. 1580 of 1923. principal Act."

2. Section 7 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the words "not within a local government area" in the third line of subsection (2) thereof.

3. Section 16 of the principal Act is amended

(a) by striking out the words "at the request of any Council" Alteration of in the first line thereof;

(b) by striking out the words "only to the area of such Council" in the second line thereof, and by substituting therefor the words "to the road or portion of the State specified in the regulations"; and

(c) by adding the following proviso at the end of subsection (1) thereof :-

Provided that no such regulations shall be made until one month after the proposed regulations have been forwarded by the Minister to the Council in the area of which the said road or portion of the State is situated and any suggestions of the Council in relation thereto (if any) have been considered by the Minister. 4. Section 20 of the principal Act is amended so as to real as follows:

20. All money collected as fines in respect of convictions under this Act shall be paid into General Revenue: Provided that where any fine is imposed in respect of an offence committed within a local government area and the complaint in respect of the offence was made by an officer of the Council of such area, one moiety of such fine shall be paid to the Council for the use and benefit of the area.

An Act to define the alignment of a certain portion of North Terrace, in the City of Adelaide, to vest a certain Public Street in the Corporation of the City of Adelaide, and for other purposes.

[Assented to, January 6th, 1926.]

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the "North Terrace Alignment Act, Short title. 1925."

2. (1) The piece of land delineated in the plan in the First Fixing of alignment Schedule hereto and therein hachured black, being portion of the Government Walk and Government Reserve, is hereby declared to be a public street and to be vested in, and to be under the care, control, and management of the Corporation of the City of Adelaide. (2) The pieces of land delineated in the plan in the First Schedule hereto and therein stippled in black, being portion of a certain public street which is vested in and under the care, control, and management of the Corporation of the City of Adelaide, are hereby declared to be Crown lands, and shall from the passing of this Act cease to be vested in or under the care, control, or management of the said Corporation, and cease to be portions of the said public street.
