An Act for the General Appropriation, of the Revenue for the Year ending June Thirtieth, Nineteen Hundred and Twenty-six.

[Assented to, January 6th, 1926.] HEREAS, by various Acts and Ordinances of the State of Preamble. South Australia, certain moneys are or may be collected, to

be paid to the Treasurer on behalf of His Majesty, His heirs and successors. for the public uses of the said State and support of the Government thereof: And whereas certain other moneys are or may become payable to the said State for the like uses, under the provisions of the Commonwealth of Australia Constitution Act, 63 & 64 Vict., ch. 12

Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Parliament of South Australia, as follows:

1. Out of the said moneys paid by the Commonwealth of Aus- Further issue. tralia, and the produce of all or any other the General Public Revenues of the said State, not otherwise by law specially appropriated, there shall or may be further issued the sum of Three Million Two Hundred and Fifty-three Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventy-five Pounds.

General Revenue.

2. Out of the sum of Nine Hundred Thousand Pounds issued Appropriation of under the authority of the Act No. 1662 of 1925, and the sum of Nine Hundred Thousand Pounds issued under the authority of Act No. 1663 of 1925, and the sum of Nine Hundred Thousand Pounds issued under the authority of Act No. 1666 of 1925, and the sum of Six Hundred Thousand Pounds issued under the authority of Act No. 1685

Appropriation Act.-1925.

1685 of 1925, and the said sum of Three Million Two Hundre and Fifty three Thousand Nine Hundred and Seventy-five Pound by this Act authorised to be issued, there shall or may be applie in the manner hereinafter mentioned, any sums of money no exceeding in amount respectively the several sums of money herein after specified, that is to say

Firstly, for defraying the charge of the State Government for th year ending the thirtieth day of June, nineteen hundred an twenty-six, there shall be paid the sum of Six Million Fou Hundred and Ninety Thousand Three Hundred and Ninety-nin Pounds, the said amount being appropriated as follows, viz. :—

Treasurer to pay the orders of Governor, and discharge by receipt of party.

Appropriation Act.-1925.

Secondly, for further defraying the charge of the State Government for the year ending the thirtieth day of June, nineteen hundred and twenty-six, there shall be paid the sum of Sixty-three Thousand Pounds, the said amount being appropriated to the payment of increases to Public School Teachers under an Industrial Court award.

3. The issue and payment by the Treasurer, from time to time, of any sum or sums of money for the purposes herein before mentioned, not exceeding in the whole the sums respectively in that behalf herein before specified, to such persons and in such portions as the Governor has heretofore directed by any order or orders in writing signed by him and countersigned by the Chief Secretary, or may hereafter direct by any order or orders so signed and countersigned, is hereby authorised; and the said Treasurer shall, in his accounts, be allowed credit for all sums paid by him in pursuance of such orders accordingly; and the receipts of the persons to whom such sums have been or are so paid shall be to him a full discharge for the sum or sums for which the same receipts shall be or are respectively given and the amounts thereof shall be passed to his credit in account accordingly.

An Act to amend the Industrial Acts, 1920 to 1924, and for other purposes.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Industrial Code Amendment Short titles. Act, 1925."

(2) The Industrial Acts, 1920 to 1924, and this Act may be cited

together as the "Industrial Acts, 1920 to 1925."

(3) The Industrial Code, 1920, is hereinafter referred to as "the No. 1453 of 1920. principal Act."

2. This Act is incorporated with the other Acts mentioned in Incorporation. section 1 of this Act, and those Acts and this Act shall be read as

one Act.

3. For the purposes of and within the meaning of Parts II., III., Extension of and IV. of the principal Act, a club shall be deemed to be an clubs and their principal Act to employer, and, any person employed by a club shall be deemed to employés. be an employé, and the club shall be deemed to be engaged in an industry Provided that if any person employed by any club, other than a racing or trotting club, is employed only for the purposes of the preparation or maintenance of grounds or premises used for the purpose of any outdoor sport, then such person shall not be deemed to be an employé and the club shall not be deemed to be an employer or to be engaged in an industry in respect of such person. 4.
