An Act to amend the Control of Advertisements
Act, 1916, and for other purposes.

E it enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Control of Advertisements Short titles. Act Amendment Act, 1925."

(2) The Control of Advertisements Act, 1916 (hereinafter referred No. 1238 of 1916. to as "the principal Act"), and this Act may be cited together as

the "Control of Advertisements Acts, 1916 and 1925."

2. Sections 2 and 3 of the principal Act are hereby repealed, and Substitution of new the following section is enacted in lieu thereof :

Burnside, Campbelltown, Mitcham,

4. The principal Act is amended by inserting after section 10 the following new section:---

10A. (1) In any proceedings for an offence against this Act the allegation in the complaint that any land is situated within the portion of the State to which this Act applies shall be deemed proved in the absence of proof to the contrary.

(2) In any proceedings for an offence against this Act the allegation in the complaint that the accused is the owner of occupier of any land on which the advertisement, the subject of the complaint, is exhibited shall be prima facie evidence that the accused is the owner or occupier, as the case may be, of the said land and that the accused is the person who exhibited the said advertisement.

An Act to legalise the marriage of a woman with the
Brother of her deceased Husband.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia,
with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the "Deceased Husband's Brother's Short title. Marriage Act, 1925."

All marriages which have been heretofore or which shall be Marriage with hereafter solemnised within the State of South Australia between any woman and her deceased husband's brother shall be deemed and are hereby declared valid and of full force and effect: Provided that this Act shall not render valid any such marriage in any case where either of the parties to such marriage shall thereafter, before the commencement of this Act, have lawfully intermarried with any other person, nor shall this Act deprive or be held to have deprived any person of any property which such person may have lawfully inherited before the commencement of this Act or affect any lis pendens.
