Trustees and Lands.

[1918. (a) To sell the said lands or any portion thereof with the buildings thereon, and to transfer or otherwise assure the same to a purchaser or purchasers freed and absolutely discharged from any Trusts to which the said lands or any portion thereof may be subject whether declared by deed or otherwise.

(b) To mortgage such lands or any portion thereof, and for the purpose of any security to assure the same to the mortgagee, freed and discharged from any such trusts as aforesaid.

(c) To lease such lands or any portion thereof, notwithstanding such trusts for any term with or without a right of renewal or option of purchase and by way of building or improvement lease or otherwise, and subject to such covenants, conditions, and agreements as they may think fit.

(2.) The net moneys raised on the security, or by the sale of the said lands or any part thereof, shall be applied for or towards the building of a church in Bunbury, and a minister's residence and other buildings in connection with such church or residence as the Bunbury Diocesan Trustees may approve and direct.

14. No purchaser, mortgagee, or lessee of any such lands purchasers and shall be bound or concerned to inquire whether any power of sale, mortgage, or lease was duly and regularly made or exercised, or in anywise to see to the application of any purchase, mortgage, or other moneys, or to inquire into the necessity, regularity, or propriety of any such sale, mortgage, or lease, or be affected by notice that the same is or are irregular, unnecessary, or improper.

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Postponement of Debts Short title. Continuation Act, 1918.

2. The Postponement of Debts Act, 1914, shall continue in Continuation operation until the thirty-first day of December, One thousand nine hundred and nineteen, unless the Governor shall, by proclamation, at any time prior to that date, determine the operation of the Act.

AN ACT to declare the method of calculation of Income
Tax under the Land Tax and Income Tax Act, 1918.

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Income Tax Act, 1918, and shall be read as one with the Land Tax and Income Tax Act, 1918, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2. The income tax imposed by the principal Act for the year ending the thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, is and shall be deemed to have been calculable in the following manner, and (subject to the provisos in section three of the Land and Income Tax Assessment Act Amendment Act, 1918, and in section two of the principal Act) shall be payable accordingly.

The rate of tax when the whole income chargeable is £101 is 2.006 pence in the pound, and the rate of tax per pound sterling on the whole income chargeable increases uniformly by 006 of a penny with each increase of one pound sterling of the income chargeable, as set out in the following examples:
