My never-failing treas'ry, fill'd
With boundless stores of grace.
4 By thee my pray'rs acceptance gain,
Although with sin defil'd;
Satan accuses me in vain,

And I am own'd a child.

5 Jesus! my Shepherd, Husband, Friend,
My Prophet, Priest, and King;
My Lord, my Life, my Way, my End!
Accept the praise I bring.

6 Weak is the effort of my heart,
And cold my warmest thought;
But when I see thee as thou art
I'll praise thee as I ought!

7 'Till then I would thy love proclaim
With ev'ry fleeting breath;

1

And may the music of thy name
Refresh my soul in death.

Manchester's Col

HYMN CCCXXXIII.

BEHOLD! the bright morning appears,

And Jesus revives from the grave;

His rising removes all our fears,

And shows him almighty to save. How strong were his tears and his cries! The worth of his blood how divine! How perfect his sacrifice is,

Who rose, though he suffer'd for sin!

2 The Man who was crowned with thorns; The Man who on Calvary dy'd,

The Man who bore scourging and scorns,
Whom sinners agreed to deride;
Now blessed for ever is made,

And life has rewarded his pain;
Now glory has crowned his head,
Heav'n sings of the Lamb that was slain.
3 Believing we share in his joy;
By faith we partake of his rest;
With this we can cheerfully die;
For with him we hope to be blest.
This makes us regardless of fame,
And riches and honours despise;
We suffer for Jesu's name,

1

That dying with him we may rise,

HYMN CCCXXXIV.

COME, thou almighty King,
Help us thy name to sing,
Help us to praise! Maheless
Father all-glorious,

O'er all victorious,

Come, and reign over us,
Ancient of days.

-2 Jesus, our Lord, arise,

Scatter our enemies,

And make them fall!
Let thine almighty aid
Our sure defence be made,
Our souls on thee be stay'd,
Lord, hear our call!

3 Come, thou incarnate Word,
Gird on thy mighty sword,

Our pray'r attend!

Come! and thy people bless,
And give thy word success;
Spirit of holiness,

On us descend!

4 Come, holy Comforter,

Thy sacred witness bear
In this glad hour!
Thou who almighty art,
Now rule in ev'ry heart,
And ne'er from us depart,
Spirit of pow'r!

5 To the great One in Three,
Eternal praises be,
Hence-evermore!

His sov'reign Majesty
May we in glory see,
And to eternity,

Love and adore.

HYMN CCCXXXV.

ALL loving Lamb,ichester's Col
A sinner I am,

And come as a sinner, thy mercy to claim.

With joy I embrace

The pardon and grace

Thy passion hath purchas'd for all the lost race.

For sinners like me

Thy mercy is free;

O, who would not love such a Saviour as thee?

4 Yet long I withstood And fled from my God,

5

But mercy pursu'd with the cry of thy blood!

It challeng'd its 'stray,

And forc'd me to stay,

And wash'd all my sins in a moment away.

6 I felt it apply'd,

And joyfully cry'd,

Me, me thou hast lov'd, and for me thou hastdy'd!

How mighty thou art,

O Love, to convert!

Love only could conquer so stubborn a heart.

The love of God-man

Alone could constrain

So sturdy a rebel to love thee again.

But sure at the last

Thy goodness I taste;

My soul on thy goodness delighted I cast.

Thy goodness I'll praise,
I'll sing of thy grace,

And joyfully live out my few happy days.

And when thy dear love

Me hence shall remove,

Oh then I shall sing like the angels above.

Yet there when I am,

My work is the same,

T' ascribe my salvation to God and the Lamb

Salvation to God

I'll publish abroad,

And make heav'n-ring with the cry of thy blood.

The Lamb that was slain,
He liveth again,

And I with my Jesus for ever shall reign.

HYMN CCCXXXVI. Årew Seagrave

1 DEAR Jesus, wilt thou with us meet,
While we at supper, humbly join,

To praise thy bounty, while we eat
Thy bread, and drink thy bounteous wine?

2 These emblems of thy dying love
Set forth thy passion on the tree,
And to our senses always prove

Thy love continues great and free. 3 Here may our faith thy body view, And worthily thy love partake; May this our faith and love renew, And all we ask is for thy sake.

WHY

HYMN CCCXXXVII. Art's Seagran

should we fear to meet the tomb?
Since there our Jesus lay,

And left a lasting sweet perfume,
Amidst the silent clay.

2 Our life is hid in him our Head,
And faith forbids to fear;

In him we live, though we are dead,
And with him must appear.
