AT Remi Cannon her has REPORT for the year

T the ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the PROPRIETORS, held on THURSDAY, ending Dec. 31, 1869, was read by the Secretary. WILLIAM CHAMPION JONES, Esq., in the Chair. In presenting to the Proprietors the Balance-sheet of the Bank for the half-year ending Dec. 31 last, the directors have the pleasure to report that, after paying interest to customers, and all charges, allowing for rebate, and making provisions for bad and doubtful debts, the net profits amount to 87,6691. 19s. 10d. This sum, added to 62251. 17s. 7d.. brought forward from the last account, produces a total of 93,8951. 178. 5d.

The usual dividend of 6 per cent. for the half-year is recommended, together with a bonus of 23 per cent., both free of income tax, which will absorb 85,000l., and leave 88951. 17s. 5d. to be carried forward to profit and 1oss new account. The present, added to the June dividend, will thus be 17 per cent. for the year 1869.

The directors have to announce the retirement of John Fleming, Esq., from the board, and the election of Edward Harbord Lushington, Esq., in his stead.

The directors retiring by rotation are: Frederick Francis, Esq.; Thomas Stock Cowie, Esq.; and Frederick Harrison, Esq., who, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election.

The dividend and bonus (together 11. 14s. per share), free of income tax, will be payable at the Head Office, or at any of the branches, on and after Monday, the 14th instant.

THE COUNTY OF BANKRUPTCY (Monthly,
COUNTY COURTS CHRONICLE WANTED, QUESTIONS on MERCAN-

18. 6d.), greatly improved and enlarged, in accordance with the extension of the Jurisdiction of the County Courts under 30 & 31 Vict. c. 142.

To enable it to treat more completely of the many matters on which the Judges, Officers, and Practitioners will require to be kept regularly informed, and to give to it the importance which, as the Journal of the County Courts, and their long-established official organ, it is entitled to assume, it is enlarged to twenty-four pages, of the size and shape of the LAW TIMES, the Reports of Cases relating to County Court Law decided by the Superior Courts being continued in their present octavo form, as more convenient for citation in Court.

Communications are specially invited to the department o "Queries," which is designed to do for the County Courts what the Justice of the Peace does for the Magistrates Courts.

The COUNTY COURTS CHRONICLE will be published monthly as hitherto; but should the growth of business in the County Courts require more space or more frequent issue hereafter t will then be published at shorter intervals.

N. B.-The COUNTY COURTS CHRONICLE was commenced with the County Courts. It is recognised as the official organ of the Courts, the Treasury having made an order that it shall be supplied to all the Judges.
