CHAPTER 10.

An Act to amend "The Education Department Act."

IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as fol

lows:

1. Section 17 of "The Education Department Act," being chapter 51 of the Revised Statutes of Manitoba, 1902, is hereby repealed.

2. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to.

CHAPTER 11.

An Act to amend "The Manitoba Evidence Act.”

[Assented to 31st January, 1905.]

IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of
the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as

follows:

1. Section 57 of chapter 57 of the Revised Statutes of Manitoba, 1902, being "The Manitoba Evidence Act," is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor:

CHAPTER 12.

An Act to amend "The Executions Act."

IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of
the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as fol-

1. Section 9 of "The Executions Act," being chapter 58 S. 9 amended of the Revised Statutes of Manitoba, 1902, is hereby amended by inserting the words "or attachment" after the word "execution" in the second line thereof.

2. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to.

CHAPTER 13.

An Act to amend "The Game Protection Act."

[Assented to 31st January, 1905.]

IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

1. Section 3 of chapter 66 of the Revised Statutes of Manitoba, 1902, as amended by section 1 of chapter 16, 3 Edward 7, is hereby amended by striking out the word "fifteenth" in the fourth line thereof and inserting the word "first" in lieu thereof, and by striking out the word November" in the said fourth line and inserting in lieu thereof the word "December," also by striking out the word "two" in the last line thereof and inserting in lieu thereof the word "one."

2. Section 3 of the said Act is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following sub-section :

(a.) No person shall hunt, take, shoot at, wound, kill or destroy any of the animals mentioned in this section without first having obtained a permit to do so from the Minister of Agriculture and Immigration, or some person appointed by him to grant such permits, and paying a fee of two dollars therefor; and every such person, whilst hunting any of such animals, shall carry such permit with him and produce the same on the demand of any game guardian or constable or justice of the peace, and he shall immediately after the close of the open season for such game return such permit to the Department of Agriculture and Immigration, together with an affidavit, sworn before a justice of the peace or a commissioner for taking affidavits, showing the number of such animals shot or taken by him during said open season under such permit, and the sex thereof. Any violation of this sub-section shall be punishable as provided in the case of any violation of the above mentioned section 3, but this sub-section shall not apply to Indians hunting in their reserves.

3. Section 6 of the said Act is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor:
