An Act to Validate the Issue, pursuant to the Redemption of Public Securities Act, 1923, of Certain Registered Stock, and for other purposes.

[Assented to, September 11th, 1924.]

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the "Issue of Registered Stock Short title. (Validation) Act, 1924."

2. This Act is incorporated with the Redemption of Public Incorporation. Securities Act, 1923, and that Act and this Act shall be read as No. 1587 of 1923. one Act.

3. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 4 of the Redemp- Validation of issue of certain Registered tion of Public Securities Act, 1923, the issue, pursuant to the said Act, in London on or about the thirty-first day of March, nineteen hundred and twenty-four, of Registered Stock to the value of One Million Six Hundred and Fifty Thousand Three Hundred Pounds shall be and be deemed to have been lawfully made, and the times for repayment of the principal moneys due and repayable in respect of the said Registered Stock shall be those set out in the stock certificates issued in respect of the said Registered Stock and shall not be affected by any provision of the said section.

An Act to further amend the Transcontinental Railway
Land Grant Act, 1911.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited alone as the "Transcontinental Short titles. Railway Land Grant Act Amendment Act, 1924."

(2) The Transcontinental Railway Land Grant Acts, 1911 and 1912, and this Act may be cited together as the "Transcontinental Railway Land Grant Acts, 1911 to 1924."

2. This Act is incorporated with the other Acts mentioned in Incorporation. section 1 of this Act, and those Acts and this Act shall be read as one Act.

3. Any reference in any of the Acts with which this Act is incorporated to the Minister of State for Home Affairs of the Commonwealth shall be deemed to be a reference to the Minister of State of the Commonwealth for the time being administering the Commonwealth Railways Act, 1917, or any Act enacted in lieu of that Act, and the said first-mentioned Acts shall be construed accordingly.

An Act to amend the Lights on Vehicles Act, 1919, and to repeal the Lights on Vehicles Amendment Act, 1903.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "Lights on Vehicles Act Short titles. Amendment Act, 1924."

(2) The Lights on Vehicles Act, 1919, and this Act may be No. 1370 of 1919. cited together as the "Lights on Vehicles Acts, 1919 to 1924.'

2. The Lights on Vehicles Act, 1919, is amended by inserting Amendment of principal Act. after section 14 thereof the foilowing section

14a. Whenever in any proceedings for an offence against Facilitation of proof. this Act, any place is described as a road such description shall be prima facie evidence that that place is a road within the meaning of this Act.

3. The Lights on Vehicles Amendment Act, 1903, is hereby Repeal of Act No. repealed.
