3-Amendment of sec. 3.

E it enacted by the Governor, the Legislative Council Enacting clause. and House of Assembly, in Legislative Session convened, as follows:-

1. This Act may be cited as "The Law Society (Amend- Short title. ment) Act 1922."

2. Section 2 of "The Law Society (Amendment) Act Amendment of 1911" is hereby amended by the addition after the word sec. 2. "sub-section" in line 13 of sub-section 3 of the words, "or the Senior Associate Examination of the Council of Higher Education,"

sec. 3.

3. Section 3 of the said Act is hereby amended by the Amendment of addition after the word "chapter" in line 12 of sub-section 3 of the words "or the Senior Associate Examination of the Council of Higher Education."

An Act to amend Cap. 85 of the Consolidated Statutes, entitled "Of the Central and Harbour Grace District Courts."

E it enacted by the Governor, the Legislative Council and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. Section three of Chapter 85 of the Consolidated Statutes, entitled "Of the Central and Harbour Grace Districts Courts" is hereby amended by striking out the words "Fifty Dollars" in the second line thereof, and substituting therefor the words "Two Hundred Dollars."

2. Section seven of the said Chapter is hereby amended by striking out the words "Fifty Dollars Fifty Dollars" at the end of the said section and substituting therefor the words "Two Hundred Dollars."

3. Section fourteen of the said Chapter is hereby amended by adding thereto the words following:

"The said Clerks of the Peace shall be ex officio sti

E it enacted by the Governor, the Legislative Council Enacting clause. and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. Upon all vessels between twenty and fifty tons, inclusive, Bounty on vessels built and registered in this Colony in accordance with the between twenty and conditions hereinafter contained, there shall be payable out

4. The bounty provided by this Act shall be in lieu of all bounties granted under the said Chapter, and, except as provided in the section following, no vessel shall be entitled to both bounties.

5. Where a vessel exceeding fifty tons but not exceedigg one hundred tons has otherwise been built in accordance with this Act, the bounty herein provided may be claimed for cach ton up to and including fifty, and such further bounty shall be payable upon the excess tonnage over fifty tons as the said vessel may be entitled to under the said Chapter.

6. This Act may be cited as The Shipbuilding Act, 1922.

An Act to amend Chapter 75 of the Consolidated Statutes, entitled "Of sufferers from Marine Disasters."

Passed June 6th, 1922.

SECTION 1-Amendment Sec. 1, Cap. 75, Consol. Statutes.

BE it enacted by the Governor, the Legislative Council

and the House of Assembly, in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. Section one of Chapter 75 of the Consolidated Statutes entitled "Of Sufferers from Marine Disasters" is hereby amended by adding, after the words "waters of the Colony," the words "while in pursuit of his calling."

An Act respecting the Sealfishery during the present year.

BE it enacted by the Governor, the Legislative Council Enacting clause. and House of Assembly, in Legislative Session convened, as follows:

1. No action, prosecution or other proceeding shall be Date of sailing. maintainable against any person whomsoever by reason merely of the date of departure of any ship out of any port in this Colony for the prosecution of the Sealfishery during the present year, and all such depa.tures are hereby declared to have been lawfully and properly made. The provisions of section twelve of the Sealfishery Act as amended by the Act 11 Geo. v., Cap. 28, Section 1, shall in all other respects than the date of departure as aforesaid remain in full force and effect.
