CHAPTER 34.

An Act to further amend “An Act respecting Taxation of Personal Property in Incorporated Towns and Villages."

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as

follows:

1. Section 3 of chapter 53 of the Statutes of 1906 is hereby amended by adding the following sub-section:

2. Sub-section (a) of section 10 of the said Act, as enacted by chapter 38 of the Statutes of 1909, is hereby amended by adding the following words at the end thereof," and shall be levied and paid in priority to all other executions, charges and liens against the personal property of the judgment debtor."

3. Section 15 of the said Act, as amended by section 2 of chapter 38 of the Statutes of 1909, is hereby further amended (a) by inserting the words "from time to time" between the words" force" and "as" in the first line thereof, and (b) by adding the following words at the end thereof, " until this Act shall again come into force by request and proclamation as aforesaid and so on from time to time."

4. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to.

CHAPTER 35.

An Act to amend "The Municipal Audit Act."

4. Section 10 of said Act is hereby amended by striking out the last four lines of said section, and by substituting therefor the following, "The said statement shall be signed by the treasurer and published by him, at the expense of the municipality, in a newspaper published within the municipality, or, in case there be no newspaper published in the municipality, then in some newspaper published in Manitoba and having a circulation in the municipality."

5. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to.

CHAPTER 36.

An Act to amend "The Municipal Boundaries Act."

follows:

1. Section 15 of chapter 118 of the Revised Statutes of Manitoba, 1902, being "The Municipal Boundaries Act," as amended by section 1 of chapter 60 of 5 and 6 Edward VII, is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor:

CHAPTER 37.

An Act to amend "The Municipal Boundaries Act."

follows:

1. Section 31 of chapter 118 of the Revised Statutes of toba, 1902, being "The Municipal Boundaries Act," as amended by section 1 of chapter 58 of 5 and 6 Edward VII, is hereby repealed and the following section substituted therefor:

31. The Rural Municipality of Coldwell shall comprise all of townships numbered nineteen and twenty in ranges numbered one and two west, all of townships numbered eighteen, nineteen and twenty, in ranges numbered three and four west, all of township numbered twenty, in range five west, and fractional townships numbered eighteen and nineteen, in range numbered five west, fractional townships nineteen and twenty, in range numbered six west, and fractional township twenty, in range numbered seven west of the principal meridian.

2. The foregoing described rural municipality shall be a rural municipality within the Eastern Judicial District.

3. The Lieutenant-Governor-in-Council may by order-incouncil

(1) Specify the time for the holding of an election for reeve and councillors for the Rural Municipality of Coldwell, created by this Act;

(2) Divide the municipality into wards and declare the number of councillors who shall be elected for each ward, according to the provisions of "The Municipal Act";

(3) Appoint a returning officer of the said municipality to act at the first election of a reeve and councillors in the said municipality;
