CHAPTER 114.

An Act to further amend "An Act respecting the Winnipeg
General Hospital."

[Assented to March 24th, 1911.]

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as

follows:

1. Section 1 of chapter 121 of 10 Edward VII is hereby s. 1 of c. 121 amended by striking out the words, "by the council of the of 10 Edw. City of Winnipeg or by the council of the University of Manitoba," in the seventeenth and eighteenth lines thereof and by substituting therefor the words "or elected as aforesaid."

2. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to.

An Act to incorporate "The Winnipeg Motor Trades Association."

WHEREAS the persons hereinafter named have peti

tioned the Legislature for an Act to incorporate themselves, and such other persons as shall become members thereof, a body corporate under the name of "The Winnipeg Motor Trades Association," having for its objects the moral, intellectual and financial improvement, advancement and welfare of its members,

Therefore His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

1. Joseph Maw, Fred E. H. Luke, William C. Power, George A. Malcolmson and George H. Kelly, all of the City of Winnipeg, in the Province of Manitoba, and all other persons who may hereafter become members of the corporation hereby created, shall be and they are hereby constituted a body corporate and politic in fact and in name under the name of "The Winnipeg Motor Trades Association," and by that name shall have perpetual succession and a common Incidents of seal, with power to alter or change the said seal by by-law to that effect, and by that name may sue and be sued and prosecute and defend all manner of actions, both at law and in Head office. equity; and the said association shall have their head office at the City of Winnipeg, in the Province of Manitoba, but may open such office or offices at such other points as may be found necessary or convenient for their purposes.

(a) To promote the consideration and discussion of all questions affecting the interests of automobile dealers and dealers in motor boats, motor cycles, and dealers in selfwater or in propelling vehicles of every kind and description, including aeroplanes, and generally to watch over and protect the interests of all persons engaged in the sale of automobiles, motor boats, motor cycles, and supplies and accessories thereto;

5. The said constitution and by-laws shall be entered in a book kept for such purpose, and signed by the chairman of the meeting of the said corporation at which the same are adopted and passed, and by the secretary thereof, and such book shall be deposited amongst the records of the said corporation.

6. A copy of the said constitution and by-laws, under the hand of the secretary, shall be admitted and received as evidence of the said constitution and by-laws, and the contents thereof, in any court of this Province, and for all purposes, without proof of the signature of the said chairman or secretary.

7. This Act shall be deemed in all things to be subject to the provisions of "The Motor Vehicle Act."

8. The association may acquire property for the purposes of property. only of holding an exhibition under the provisions of this Act, not exceeding $25,000.

9. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to.

CHAPTER 116.

An Act respecting "The Winnipeg North-Eastern Railway

Company."
