D. his executors, administrators, and assigns, from the day of the date of these presents, for and during the term of the natural life of the said A. proportionate part of the said annuity, yearly rent, charge, or annual sum for or in respect of so many days as shall happen to have elapsed from the last quarterly say of payment thereof next preceding the decease of the said A. B. up to and until the day of his death, such payments of the said annuity to be made without any deduction or abatement whatsoever for or on account of any taxes, duties, assessments, or other matter, cause, or thing whatsoever, now being or hereafter to be chargeable, assessable, or payable for or upon or in respect of the said annuity, yearly rent, charge, or annual sum of £— part thereof, or the said hereditaments and premises hereby charged with the payment of the same, or the said C. D. his executors, administrators, or assigns, by reason thereof, either by authority of Parliament or otherwise howsoever, (the income or property-tax only excepted ;) the first payment of the said annuity, yearly rent, charge, or annuak sum of to be made on the day of now next ensuing the date of these presents. PROVIDED ALWAYS, and it is hereby declared and agreed by and between all the said parties hereto, and it is the true intent and meaning of them and of these presents, and the said A. B. for himself, his heirs, executors, and administrators, doth hereby covenant, grant, and agree to and with the said C. D. his executors, administrators, and assigns, in manner and form following, that is to say, that in case the said annuity, yearly rent, charge, or annual sum of ₤ or any part thereof, shall at any time happen to be in arrear and unpaid by the space of twenty-one days next over, or after any or either of the said days or times whereon the same is hereinbefore appointed to be paid, then and from thenceforth, and from time to time

as often as the same shall happen, it shall be lawful for the said C. D. his executors, administrators, and assigns, or his or their lawful attorney or attornies, and he and they is and are hereby expressly authorized and empowered ta enter into and upon all and singular the said messuages, &c. hereby charged or expressed and intended to be charged with the payment of the said annuity, yearly rent, charge, or annual sum of £ and into and upon every or any part or parcel thereof, and there to make and take distress and distresses of all or any goods, chattels, or other distrainable effects whatsoever which shall be then and there found; and in due time after such distress or distresses shall be so made or taken, (unless all arrears of the said annuity, rent, charge, or annual sum of £ · and all expenses and charges incurred by reason thereof be sooner paid,) to cause the same goods, chattels, and effects to be appraised and sold or otherwise disposed of according to law, to the intent that the said C. D. his executors, administrators, and assigns, shall and may be thereout fully paid and satisfied the said annuity, yearly rent, charge, or annual sum of £ and every part

— or into or upon any part or parcel thereof in the name of the whole, and to have, hold, and enjoy the same, and receive and retain the rents, issues, profits, and produce thereof, and of every part and parcel thereof, to and for his and their own use and benefit, until he and they shall thereby or otherwise have received and have been fully paid and satisfied the said annuity, yearly rent, charge, or annual sum of £- and every part thereof, and all arrears of the same, whether the same or any part thereof shall have been due before or at the time of such entry or entries respectively, or shall have become due or payable during the time which he or they shall, by virtue of such entry or entries, have been in possession of the said premises, together with all such costs, charges, das mages, and expenses as shall have been expended, occasioned, or sustained by him or them, or his or their executors, administrators, or assigns, by reason or means of the non-payment of the same annuity, such entry of entries when made to be without impeachment of or for any manner of waste. AND the said A. B. for himself, his heirs, executors, and administrators, doth hereby further covenant, promise, grant, and agree with and to the said C. D. his executors, administrators, and assigns, that he the said A. B. his heirs, executors, or administrators, or some or one of them, shall and will from time to time, and at all times hereafter, well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said C. D. his executors, administrators, and assigns, during the natural life of him
