as by the said recited articles, relation being thereunto had will more fully appear. AND WHEREAS, the said intended marriage hath been duly had and solemnized, and the said G. H. is since dead, leaving the said C. D. and J. K. surviving. AND WHEREAS, the said A. B. and E. his wife, have agreed by mutual consent to separate themselves and live apart from each other, from the day of the date of these articles; and the said A. B. hath come to an agreement, that the dividends of the said three per cent. reduced bank annuities shall be paid to the hands of the sad E. B. for her sole and separate use; and also that he will pay to the said C. D. his executors, and administrators, the further sum of £—— per annum, for the separate use of the said E. B. during her natural life. NOW THESE ARTICLES WITNESS, that the said A. B. for himself, his executors, and administrators, doth covenant, promise, and agree, to and with the said C. D. and J. K. their executors, and administrators, by these presents, that it shall and may be lawful to and for the said C. D. and J. K. their executors, administrators, and assigns from time to time, and at all times, from and after the day of now last; and during the joint lives of the said A. B. and E. his wife, to pay the interes', dividends, and proceeds of the said three per cent. bank annuities; and of such other security as the same may at any time hereafter be invested in, unto the said E. B. for her sole and separate use. And that the receipts of the said E. B. notwithstanding her coverture, shall be a full discharge to the said C. D. and J. K. their executors, administrators, and assigns, for all such interest, dividends, and proceeds, of the said three per cent. bank annuities, as he or they shall so pay to her, as aforesaid, AND for making a further provision for the said E. B. in the intended separation between her and her

said husband. The said A. B. for himself, his heirs, executors, and administrators, and every of them, doth further 'covenant, promise, and agree, to and with the said C. D. his executors, and administrators, that he the said A. B. his heirs, executors, or administrators, or some or one of them, shall and will yearly, and every year, during the natural life of the said E. B. well and truly pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said C. D. his executors, or ad ninistrators, the further yearly sum of £ of lawful money, of Great Britain, by equal half yearly payments. In trust, nevertheless, and to and for the sole use and benefit of the said E. B. s parate and apart from her said husband. And that the receipt of the said E. B. notwithstanding her coverture, AND the said shall be a sufficient discharge for the same. C. D. and J. K. for themselves, severally, and not join ly, and for their several and respective executors, and administrators, do hereby agree to accept the trust and confi ́dence hereinbefore in them, and in each of them reposed. AND ALSO, that they shall and will pay all future interest, dividends, and proceeds, arising from the said sum of

B. or her assigns, as aforesaid. AND LASTLY, the said A. B. doth covenant, promise, and agree, to and with the said C. D. and J. K. their respective executors, and administrators, that they the said trustees, or their respective execu "tors, and administrators, shall not, nor shall either of them, be subject, or in any manner become liable, to any costs or charges attending the execution of the several matters, aforesaid; and shall not be answerable for any more money than shall actually come to their hands, nor the one for the

other, or for the receipts, acts or deeds, the one of the other, but each for his own acts, receipts, or wiltul defaults only. IN WITNESS Whereof, the said parties to these presents, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written.

ARTICLES OF AGREEMENT, indented, had, made, and fully agreed upon this the year of our Lord BETWEEN A. B. of, &c. weaver, of the one part, and C. D. of, &c. widow, and E. D. her daughter, of the other part, as follows: (that is to say,)

THE said A. B. as well for and in consideration of the service of the said E. D. for the term of seven years, as hereinafter mentioned, as also for, and in consideration of the sum of £ of lawful money, of Great Britain, to the said A. B. in hand, well and truly paid by the said C. D. at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said A. B. doth hereby acknowledge, and thereof, and therefrom, and of and from the same, and every part thereof, doth acquit, release, and discharge, the said C. D. her executors, administrators, and assigns, for ever, by these presents, doth hereby covenant, promise, and agree, to and with the said C. D. her executors, and administrators, that he the said A. B. shall and will take as his apprentice, the said E. D. from the day of the date of these presents, for and during the term of seven years. And also that he said A. B. shall and will during such time, teach and instruct, or cause to be taught and instructed, the said E. D. in the trade, science, or occupation of a weaver,

and in all other things belonging to the said business, which he the said A. B. now useth. AND ALSO shall and will during such term of seven years, find and provide unto, and for the said E. D. board, washing, and lodging, the said E. D. washing her own things. AND the said E. D. by and with the consent of her said mother, doth put herself as an apprentice to the said A. B. to learn the business of a weaver. And the said C. D. doth hereby covenant, promise, and agree, to and with the said A. B. his executors, and administrators, that she the said C. D. the elder, her executors, and administrators, shall and will from time to time, and at all times, during the said term of seven years, find and provide her said daughter, with suitable and pro per wearing apparel; and in case of her death, shall and will be at the expence of her funeral. IN WITNESS whereof the said parties to these presents, have hereunto set their hands and seals, the day and year first above written. See also an Indenture of apprentiship, subsequently.

into, this in the year of our Lord 18 BETWEEN A. B. the elder, of, &c. Rag Mer, chant of the one part, and A. B. the younger, of the same place, (son of the said A. B. the elder,) of the other part. WHEREAS the said A. B. the elder, hath for several years past, carried on the business of a rag merchant, and general dealer in marine stores, and other articles, instreet, aforesaid; and the said A. B. the younger, hath for several months assisted his said father in carrying on the

same; and the said A. B. the younger having demeaned and comported himself to the full satisfaction of the said A. B. the elder, and wishing to become a partner in the said concern, he the said A. B. the elder, hath agreed to take him into partnership and to allow him one half of the profits of the same, on the terms and conditions hereinafter mentioned. NOW THESE PRESENTS WITNESS, and the said A. B. the elder, and A. B. the younger, do hereby for themselves, their executors, and administrators, mutually agree with each other, and with the executors, and administrators, of each other, that they the said A. B. the elder, and A. B. the younger, shall become, be, and continue copartners in the said trade or business, from the day of the date hereof for the term of

years, and also for such further term, as they shall hereafter mutually agree upon. AND that they shall be entitled in equal moieties to the profits thereof, and be subject to equal risks and expences in carrying on the same. AND that they will be true and just to each other in all buyings, sellings, dealings, transactions, accounts, reckonings, and other matters incident to such business. AND WHEREAS, the said A. B. the younger, having no money or capital to advance or put into the said business, it has been agreed between them the said A. B. the elder, and A. B. the younger, that the present stock shall be valued by two indifferent persons, one to be chosen by each party, and if they cannot agree, then by a third to be chosen by the two arbitrators. And that the said A. B. the younger, shall pay to the said A. B. the elder, interest, at the rate of £5 per cent. per annum, for the amount of one moiety of such stock, and also like interest for a moiety of any sum which the said A. B. the elder, may hereafter advance for carrying on the same business; such interest to be deducted out of his share of the profits on every settling
