An Act to authorise the Commonwealth of Australia to occupy and use a certain portion of the Park Lands at Port Pirie for the purpose of the crection and maintenance thereon of a Public Health Laboratory, and for purposes incidental thereto.

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the "Port Pirie Laboratory Site Short title. Act, 1922."

2. Notwithstanding anything contained in the Municipal Cor- Certain portions of porations Act, 1890, or any other Act or law to the contrary, the Port Pirie Park Lands to be occupied Commonwealth of Australia is hereby authorised to occupy and use and used by that piece of land, being portion of the Port Pirie Park Lands, Commonwealth. described in the Schedule to this Act and delineated in the plan No. 497 of 1890. contained in the said Schedule and therein hatched in black and marked "A", subject to the provisions of this Act.

3. The said land shall be occupied and used by the Commonwealth Land to be used for of Australia for the purposes of the erection and maintenance thereon Laboratory. by the Commonwealth of Australia of a Public Health Laboratory, and for purposes incidental thereto, or for purposes of a similar character, and the said land shall be occupied and used by the Commonwealth of Australia for so long only as the said land is used for such purposes and no longer.

4. This Act shall not confer any right, power, or authority on the Commonwealth of Australia to sell, mortgage, alienate, charge, or otherwise deal with the said land or any portion thereof or in anywise to part with the possession of the said land or any portion thereof, or to use the said land or any portion thereof for any purpose or purposes other than those mentioned in section 3.

THE SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND.

All that piece or parcel of land containing an area of 1 rood 33 perches, be the same a little more or less, being that portion of the park lands adjacent to the Town of Port Pirie in the Hundred of Pirie, bounded as follows:-Commencing at a point in the north-western side of Alexander Street bearing south-westerly 179ft. 9in. from the intersection of the south-western side of Gertrude Street with the northwestern side of Alexander Street aforesaid; thence south-westerly by part of the north-western side of Alexander Street aforesaid 100ft.; thence north-westerly by a line forming an interior angle of 90° with the last mentioned line 200ft.; thence north-easterly by a line forming an interior angle of 90° with the last mentioned line 79ft.; thence south-easterly by a line forming an interior angle of 135° with the last mentioned line 29ft. 9in.; thence south-easterly by a line forming an interior angle of 135° with the last mentioned line 179ft. to the commencing point, and forming thereat an interior angle of 90° with the north-western side of Alexander Street aforesaid.

An Act to enable the Supreme Court to Hear and Summarily Decide on Petition Matters relating to the Administration and Management of Trusts created for Charitable Purposes.

[Assented to, December 21st, 1922.]

E it Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the "Charitable Trusts Procedure Short title. Act, 1922."

2. In every case of a breach of any trust or supposed breach of In cases of breach of any trust created for charitable purposes, or whenever the direction trust, &c., petition or order of the Supreme Court shall be deemed necessary for the administration or management or to the advantage or benefit of any trust created for charitable purposes, it shall be lawful for(a) any two or more natural persons who are objects of such trust; or

(b) the trustees appointed by or in pursuance of the instrument or of the Act of Parliament creating the trust; or

(c) the Attorney-General:

to present a petition to the Supreme Court, stating such breach or supposed breach, or the grounds upon which such direction or order is necessary, as the case may be, and praying such relief as the nature of the case may require.
