These are enforced under the Stamp Consolidation Act, 1891, in accordance with the relevant scales laid down by the Finance Acts for the time being in force on all policies issued in the United Kingdom: In the case of any policy issued outside thereof but in any manner enforceable within the United Kingdom, the policy may be stamped after execution-it must be stamped with the appropriate duty within 10 days of its arrival here.

The scale for the time being in force is as follows:

A=Any period not exceeding six months.

B=Any period exceeding six months up to twelve months.

Non-marine risks: 6d. in full.

(Risks on non-tidal waters are deemed to be non-marine risks.) Ratings of 2s. 6d. per cent. and less: 1d. in full.

Building risks are treated as voyage policies.

Continuation Clause: 6d. additional.
