Short title.

their property, or interests, by the reason of the carrying out of the works, and the amount of such compensation shall be arrived at according to the provisions of the Municipal Act in respect to arbitration.

4. The Corporation may make by-laws for the conduct of the public library, including the renting and leasing of the stores in the library building.

5. Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Corporation shall have full power and authority to sell, dispose of, and convey the steam ferry and the electric light plant, including the power house and site thereof; and after the sale has been ratified by the ratepayers, the respective purchasers shall have full power to operate and carry on the same respectively.

6. This Act may be cited as the "New Westminster Enabling Act, 1891."

An Act to make valid the Jurors' Books, Rolls and Lists for the New Westminster Jury District for the year 1891.

WHEREAS the Jurors' Books, Rolls and Lists for the New Westmin- Preamble. ster Jury District for the year 1891 were not selected and completed before the 30th day of October last, and the Government Agent for the District could not cause a correct copy of the Jurors' Book to be made and deposited in the office of the Provincial Secretary in accordance with the provisions of Section 32 of the "Jurors' Act": And whereas the said Jurors' Books, Rolls and Lists were compiled, made up, and selected before the end of the year 1890, by all of the Selectors of Jurors for the said District, and have since been deposited in the Government Agent's office at the City of New Westminster, signed and certified by two of the said Selectors, but the other of the said Selectors being out of the Province has been unable to sign and certify to the same: And whereas doubts have arisen and may arise as to the validity of the said Jurors' Books, Rolls and Lists:

Now, therefore, Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

New Westminster

1. The Jurors' Books, Rolls and Lists for the New Westminster Jury Legalizes certain District for the year 1891, as compiled, made up, and selected by the jurors' books, &c., of Selectors for the said District, and as now signed and deposited in the District. Government's Agent's office at the City of New Westminster shall, notwithstanding the same were not made up, compiled, and selected within the time mentioned in the said Act, and notwithstanding the same have only been signed and certified by two of the Selectors, be as valid as if the same had been made up, compiled, and selected in accordance with the terms of the said Act, and as if all the provisions of the said Act in relation to the same had been observed and carried out.

An Act to amend the "Official Administrators' Act."

[20th April, 1891.]

ER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as

follows:

1. Section 7 of the " Official Administrators' Act" is hereby amended Amends sec. 7. by striking out all the words after "administration" in line 16 of the

said section.

2. Section 11 of the said Act is hereby amended by striking out the Amends sec. 11. words "a Judge of the Supreme or County Court" in lines 7 and 8 of

the said section, and by substituting the words "the Provincial Auditor."

3. This Act may be cited as the "Official Administrators' Act Short title Amendment Act, 1891."
