AN ACT to apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and from Moneys to Credit of the General Loan Fund the sum of Four Hundred and Ninety-two Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty-seven Pounds to the Service of the Year ending 30th June, 1909.

E, Your Majesty's Most Dutiful and Loyal Subjects. the Preamble. Members of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia. in Parliament assembled, towards making good the Supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in this Session of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sum hereinafter mentioned; and do, therefore, most humbly beseech

Your Majesty that it may be enacted: And be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled. and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. There shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply granted to His Majesty for the service of the year from 1st July, 1908, to 30th June, 1909, the Sum of Three Hundred and Ninety-two Thousand Seven hundred and Forty-seven Pounds out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, and One Hundred Thousand Pounds from moneys to credit of the General Loan Fund, and the Treasurer of Western Australia is hereby authorised and empowered to issue and apply the moneys authorised to be issued and applied.

2. The said sums shall be available to satisfy the warrants under the hand of the Governor, under the provisions of the law now in force, in respect of any Services voted by the Legislative Assembly during the financial year ending 30th June, 1909.

AN ACT to amend the Fremantle Municipal
Tramways and Electric Lighting Act, 1903.

[Assented to 6th February, 1909.]

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliainent assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Fremantle Municipal Tram- Short title. ways and Electric Lighting Act Amendment Act, 1909, and shall be read as one with the Fremantle Municipal Tramways and Electric Lighting Act, 1903, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

2. Section three of the principal Act is amended by striking out Amendment of the words "one hundred thousand pounds," and inserting in place thereof the words "one hundred and fifty thousand pounds."

3. Section thirty of the principal Act is amended by striking Amendment of out the words "not exceeding two" in the second line, and insert- s. 30.

Application of loan

The councils of the said municipalities may deduct from any funds to repayment loan funds raised under the provisions of the principal Act. as amended by this Act, any moneys advanced out of municipal funds for the purposes of the principal Act, and apply the moneys so deducted to the repayment of the moneys so advanced.

AN ACT to authorise the raising of a sum of One million four hundred and forty-five thousand pounds by Loan for the construction of certain Public Works, and for other purposes.

Assented to 6th February, 1909.]

WHEREAS it is expedient to authorise the raising, by way of

Loan, of certain sums of money amounting in all to One million four hundred and forty-five thousand pounds for the several purposes hereinafter mentioned, and also to re-appropriate certain Loan moneys: Be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
