HEREAS it appears by messages from His Excellency the Right Honorable Sir Frederick Temple, Earl of Dufferin, Governor Generel of the Dominion of Canada, and the estimates accompanying the same, that the sums hereinafter mentioned are required to defray certain expenses of the public service of the Dominion not otherwise provided for, for the financial years ending respectively the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, and the thirtieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six, and for other purposes connected with the public service: May it therefore please Your Majesty that it may be enacted, and be it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, that: 1. From and out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of Canada, there shall and may be applied a sum not exceeding in the whole one million seven hundred and seventy-nine thousand seven hundred and eighty-seven dollars and thirtysix cents, towards defraying the several charges and expenses of the public service of the Dominion, from the first day of July, in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, to the thirtieth day of June, in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five not otherwise provided for, and set forth in Schedule A. to this Act, and also for the other purposes in the said schedule mentioned.
