1. That I will not attempt to ascertain and will by every means in my power prevent any other person from ascertaining how any person is about to vote, or shall have voted, at this election save and except as may be necessary and proper in the case of persons blind or unable to read or incapable of marking their ballot papers as provided in The Alberta Election Act;

2. That I will not communicate to any person any information of any kind which may enable or assist any person to ascertain the candidate for whom any person has voted;

3. That I will in all respects maintain and aid in maintaining the absolute secrecy of the voting of this polling place. So help me God.

OATH OF PERSON VOUCHING

You swear (or solemnly affirm)—

1. That you are (name as on list of voters), whose occupation is (occupation as on list of voters), and whose address is (address as on list of voters), and that you now reside in this polling subdivision.

2. That you know (naming the applicant and stating his address and occupation), who has applied to have his name added to the voters' list in this polling subdivision.

3. That you verily believe that the applicant is a British subject of the full age of twenty-one years and that he has resided in the Province of Alberta for at least one year, and in this electoral division for at least two months immediately preceding and including the day of polling at this election, and that the said applicant now resides in this polling subdivision.

(In case the applicant has not been a resident of such electoral division for two months immediately prior to said date and makes his application under clause (b) of section 16 hereof, substitute the following):

That you verily believe that the applicant is a British subject of the full age of twenty-one years, that he has resided in the Province of Alberta for at least one year immediately preceding and including the day of polling at this election, and that this electoral division and this polling subdivision is the last place he has been resident of for a continuous period of two months of such year.

4. That you verily believe that the applicant is qualified as a voter and is not disqualified for voting at this election. So help me God.

CHAPTER 35.

An Act to amend The Legislative Assembly Act.

(Assented to April 12, 1924.)

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows:

1. The Legislative Assembly Act, being chapter 3 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta, 1922, is amended as follows:

(a) by striking out the words "electoral districts" or "electoral district" wherever the same appear together in the said Act, and substituting respectively therefor the words "electoral divisions" or "electoral division."

(b) as to section 2, by striking out the word "sixty-one," and substituting therefor the word "sixty."

(c) by striking out of schedule 1 to the said Act the electoral division of Clearwater and the description thereof."

(d) by striking out the description of each of the electoral divisions of Pembina, Lac Ste. Anne, and Peace River in schedule 1 to the said Act, and by substituting therefor—

After the word "Pembina" the following:

"Commencing at the north-east corner of township 70, range 25, west of the 4th Meridian; thence west along the north boundary of township 70 to the north-east corner of township 70, range 8, west of the 5th meridian; thence south along the east boundary of the said range 8 to its point of intersection with the centre line of the Athabasca River; thence down stream following the centre line of the Athabasca River to its point of intersection with the east boundary of township 61, range 7, west of the 5th meridian; thence south along the east boundary of said range 7 to the north-east corner of township 59, range 7, west of the 5th meridian; thence east along the north boundary of township 59 to the north-east corner of township 59, range 6, west of the 5th meridian; thence south along the east boundary of said range 6 to the north-east corner of township 56, range 6, west of the 5th meridian; thence east along the north boundary of township 56 to the north-east corner of township 56, range 4, west of the 5th meridian; thence south along the east boundary of the said range 4 to the northeast corner of township 55, range 4, west of the 5th meridian; thence east along the north boundary of township 55, to the north-east corner of township 55, range 1, west of the 5th meridian; thence north along the east boundary of said

After the word "Peace River" the following:

"Commencing at the north-east corner of township 70, range 14, west of the 5th meridian; thence west

along the north boundary of township 70 to its point of intersection with the east boundary of township 71, range 22, west of the 5th meridian, produced south; thence north along the east boundary of said range 22, to the north-east corner of township 80, range 22, west of the 5th meridian; thence east along the north boundary of township 80 to the northeast corner of township 80, range 14, west of the 5th meridian; thence north along the east boundary of the said range 14 to its point of intersection with the north boundary of the Province of Alberta; thence west along the north boundary of the Province of Alberta to the north-west corner thereof; thence south along the west boundary of the Province of Alberta to its point of intersection with the north boundary of township 67; thence east along the north boundary of township 67 to the north-east corner of township 67, range 14, west of the 5th meridian; thence north along the east boundary of said range 14 to the point of commencement."

2. No change in the boundaries of any of the said divisions shall affect the right of any person returned as member for any such division as constituted immediately before the passing of this Act to sit or vote or otherwise act as and be a member of the said Assembly, nor shall any writ of election issue in respect of any electoral division hereby constituted until a vacancy in the representation of such division as now or heretofore constituted has occurred or the present Legislative Assembly has been determined or dissolved."

3. The electoral division of Clearwater shall cease to exist.

4. This Act shall come into force on the day upon which it is assented to.
