keeping of Thy commandments.

We

have sinned by neglecting the talents of grace and nature which Thy bounty committed to us for our improvement; by idly spending that precious time, and unthankfully neglecting the means, which Thy goodness allows us for the work of our salvation. Have mercy on us, most merciful Father; and according to the greatness of Thy compassion, pardon the multitude of our offences. Take not vengeance of our sins; remember that our substance is but as the flower of the field that withereth, and as a vapour that passeth away. We plead before Thee Thy gracious promises in Thy dear Son, and beseech Thee for His sake to blot out as a thick cloud our transgressions: for in Thee only do we trust, through Jesus Christ our Lord and only Saviour. Amen.

To be said by the Head alone.

Most gracious God, the fountain of all

mercy, who desireth not the death of a sinner, and despiseth not the tears of the penitent, favourably receive this confession of our sins, and work in us true contrition for all our offences; that we being pardoned the evils we have presumed to do, may be delivered from the punishment we deserve to suffer; and obtaining from Thy mercy the answer to our prayers, grant us to spend the remainder of our days in more perfect denial of our corrupt inclinations, and more constant progress towards the enjoyment of Thy glorious promise, through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, who, with Thee and the Holy Ghost, ever liveth and reigneth, One God, world without end. Amen..

Almighty God, we beseech Thee graciously to behold this Thy family, for which our Lord Jesus Christ was contented to be betrayed and given into the hands of wicked men, and to suffer death

upon the cross, who now liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.

O Lord Jesus Christ, who hast left us for awhile, giving us the promise that Thou wilt come again and receive us to abide with Thee for ever; grant us such communion with Thyself, that our souls may be continually athirst for that time when we shall behold Thee in Thy glory, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, One God, world without end. Amen.

Almighty God, who by the resurrection of Thy beloved Son hast brought life and immortality to light, we beseech Thee that as Thou hast raised Him from the dead by Thy mighty power, so we also may walk in newness of life, and be planted in the likeness of His resurrection, who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, ever One God, world without end. Amen.

Almighty God, with whom do live the spirits of them that depart hence in the Lord, and with whom the souls of the faithful, after they are delivered from the bonds of the flesh, are in joy and felicity; we give Thee hearty thanks for all our brethren whom it hath pleased Thee to deliver out of the miseries of this sinful world; beseeching Thee, that it may please Thee of thy gracious goodness, shortly tò accomplish the number of thine elect, and to hasten Thy kingdom; that we, with all that are departed in the true faith of Thy most holy Name, may have our perfect consummation and bliss, both in body and soul, in Thine everlasting glory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God, from whom all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works do proceed, give unto Thy servants that peace which the world cannot give; that both our hearts may be set to obey Thy com

mandments, and also that by Thee, we being defended from the fear of our enemies, may pass our time in rest and quietness, through the merits of Jesus Christ our Saviour. Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with us all evermore. Amen.

THE END.
