CHAPTER 6.

An Act respecting "The Bureau of Labor."

[Assented to March 10th, 1915.]

IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as

follows:

1. This Act may be cited as "The Bureau of Labor Short title. Act."

2. There shall be attached to the Department of Public Bureau of Works a bureau, to be styled "The Bureau of Labor." established.

It shall be the duty of the bureau to collect, assort, Duties of the systematize and publish information and statistics relating in detail to employment, wages and hours of labor, co-operation, strikes, lockouts or other labor difficulties, trades unions, labor organizations, the relations between labor and capital, and other subjects of interest to workingmen throughout Manitoba, with such information relating to the commercial, industrial and sanitary condition of workingmen, and the permanent prosperity of the industries of Manitoba, as the bureau may be able to gather.

5. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to.

CHAPTER 7.

An Act to amend "The Towns and Villages Business Tax

Act."

[Assented to March 10th, 1915.]

HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as

follows:

"The Towns

Business Tax

1. Section 4 of chapter 137 of the Revised Statutes of Section 4 of Manitoba, 1913, being "The Towns and Villages Business and Villages Tax Act," is hereby amended by striking out the figures Act" "123" from the eighth line thereof and by substituting therefor the figures "15."

2. This Act shall come into force on the day it is assented to.
