And be it further enacted, That it shall and may be lawful r the Commissioners of Stamps, or any of their Officers, at any ime before the last Day of Hilary Term One thousand eight indred and twenty-nine, to stamp any Vellum, Parchment, or aper upon which shall be ingrossed, written, or printed any Arcles of Clerkship, Contract, Indenture, or other Instrument, hereby any Person, at any Time before the Twenty-second Day June One thousand eight hundred and twenty-five, became ound to serve as a Clerk or Apprentice in order to his Admison as an Attorney or Solicitor in any of the Courts of Law or quity, upon Payment to the said Commissioners, or their Officer, f the proper Duty payable in respect of such Articles, and of le further Sum of Five Pounds by way of Penalty; any thing any Act or Acts in force immediately before the passing of this Act to the contrary in anywise notwithstanding. And be it further enacted, That if any Person who shall ave served or become bound to serve as Clerk to an Attorney or Solicitor in Great Britain, under any Articles of Clerkship or Contract bearing Date at any Time before the said Twentyecond Day of June One thousand eight hundred and twenty-five, hall or may have neglected or omitted to cause any Affidavit or registered, Affidavits of the Times of the Execution of such Articles to be made and filed, or shall or may have neglected or omitted to cause any such Articles to be inrolled or registered, it shall and may be awful for such Person, at any Time on or before the last Day of Hilary Term One thousand eight hundred and twenty-nine, to cause One or more Affidavit or Affidavits to be made and filed in such Manner as the same ought to have been made and filed in due Time, and also to cause such Articles (being first duly stamped) to be inrolled or registered with the proper Officer in that Behalf; and every such Person as aforesaid shall be and he is hereby indemnified from all Penalties, Forfeitures, Incapacities, and Disabilities in or by any Act or Acts imposed and incurred, or to be incurred, for or by reason of such Neglect or Omission; and every such Affidavit and Affidavits so to be made, and which shall be duly filed on or before the said last Day of the said Hilary Term, shall be as effectual, to all Intents and Purposes, as if the same had been made and filed within the respective Times 0 4 the Courts of &c. may be mission of the Times when the same ought by the Laws in force for that Purp to have been made and filed; any thing in any Act or Ac force immediately before the passing of this Act to the contr in anywise notwithstanding.
