Bags and sacks of all kinds (not including paper bags);
Bicyles, and their distinctive component parts;

Bladders, casings, and sausage skins;

Camphor;

Chemicals, drugs, &c. :

Bismuth and its salts;

Iodine and its preparations and compounds;

Mercury, salts and preparations of;

Nux Vomica and its alkaloids and preparations;

Chronometers and all kinds of nautical instruments;

Compasses for ships, and parts thereof, including fittings such as binnacles;

Firearms, unrifled, for sporting purposes;
Flaxen canvas, namely:-

Hammock canvas;

Kitbag canvas;

Merchant Navy canvas;

Royal Navy canvas;
Tent canvas;

Goatskins, undressed;

Implements and apparatus designed exclusively for the manufacture of munitions of war, for the manufacture or repair of arms or of war material for use on land and sea, namely, plant for cordite and ammunition factories, viz. :—

Boiler tubes;

Condenser tubes;

Iron and steel castings and forgings for hulls and machinery of ships;

Telegraphs, wireless telegraphs, and telephones, material for. (D.) That the export of the following article be prohibited to ports in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden :

Tin plates; including tin boxes and tin canisters for food packing.

BRITISH ORDER IN COUNCIL amending certain Provisions of The Northern Rhodesia Order in Council, 1911."-London, February 10, 1915.*

At the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 10th day of February,

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend certain provisions of "The Northern Rhodesia Order in Council, 1911,"t (hereinafter referred to as the "principal Order"):

Now, therefore, His Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers by "The Foreign Jurisdiction Act, 1890," or otherwise in His Majesty vested, is pleased, by and with the advice of his Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as "The Northern Rhodesia Order in Council, 1915."

2. The following sub-section is hereby added to section 44 of the principal Order :

"London Gazette," February 12, 1915.

"(4.) Nothing in this section contained shall be deemed to prohibit the removal of natives from any kraal or land assigned to them, where such removal is authorized by any Proclamation relating to public health, provided that other suitable land be forthwith assigned to them in lieu of that from which they have been removed."

3. This Order shall be published in the "Gazette," and shall commence and come into operation on a day to be fixed by the High Commissiouer, and the High Commissioner shall give directions for the publication of this Order at such places, and in such manner, and for such time or times, as he thinks proper for giving due publicity thereto.

4. His Majesty may from time to time revoke, alter, add to, or amend this Order.

BRITISH ORDER IN COUNCIL directing that "The Extradition Ordinance (Ashanti), 1914," shall have effect in Ashanti.-London, February 10, 1915.*

WHEREAS by section 18 of "The Extradition Act, 1870,"† it is (amongst other things) enacted that if, by any law made after the passing of the said Act by the Legislature of any British Possession, provision is made for carrying into effect within that Possession the surrender of fugitive criminals who are, or are suspected of being, therein, His Majesty may, by the Order in Council applying the said Act in the case of any foreign State, or by any subsequent Order, either

Suspend the operation within any such British Possession of the said Act, or of any part thereof, so far as it relates to that foreign State, and so long as that law continues in force there, and no longer;

Or direct that the law, or any part thereof, shall have effect in such British Possession, with or without modifications and alterations, as if it were part of the said Act:
