The Peace and Rest of Heaven. 1 THERE is an hour of peaceful rest, To mourning wand'rers giv'n; There is a joy for souls distress'd, A balm for ev'ry wounded breast'Tis found above-in heav'n. 2 There is a home for weary souls, When toss'd on life's tempestuous shoals, 3 There faith lifts up her cheerful eye, 4 There, fragrant flow'rs immortal, bloom, There, rays divine disperse the gloom;- 1 JERUSALEM! my happy home! Name ever dear to me! When shall my labours have an end, In joy, and peace, and thee? 2 When shall these eyes thy heaven-built walls And pearly gates behold? Blest seats! through rude and stormy 5 Why should I shrink at pain and wo? Or feel at death, dismay?
