PREFACE.

THE Third Edition of The "Law of Waters: Sea, Tidal, and Inland" was published in 1910. Since its publication various Acts of Parliament-amongst the most important of which is the Salmon. and Freshwater Fisheries Act, 1923—have been passed; and many important cases relating to the subject-matter of the work have been decided in the Courts. In the present edition several of the chapters have been considerably revised, and a chapter on Land Drainage has been added. A King's Printer's Copy of the Order in Council of 13th October, 1910, setting out the Collision Regulations now in force, is bound up with this work, thus affording a copy of the Collision Regulations which can be given in evidence by virtue of the Documentary Evidence Act, 1868, section 2 (2).
