2.-Labour Legislation.

A grant of 4,000 kr. allotted for 1908 to cover the rent of the permanent exhibition of apparatus for the prevention of industrial accidents and diseases, at Stockholm. G., 186; App. 4, 1, 153; 10, 7; Ch. I. iv. 54, 20; Ch. II. v., 69, 2.

The Riksdag recommends to the Government that the authority of the police to intervene in circuses and variety entertainments should be extended so as to apply also in cases where the life of persons taking part in such entertainments is endangered, and requests the Government to prohibit the employment of children in public performances. 3.-Workmen's Insurance.

The Riksdag sanctions the application of the vote for 1908 in respect of workmen's insurance and sick clubs to administration expenses and to the compilation of the annual statistical report on sick clubs and industrial accidents, as required. G. 173; App. 4, 1, 152; 10, 143; Ch. I. iv., 54, 20; Ch. II. v., 69, 2.

A grant of 1,400,000 kr. voted for 1908 towards the Workmen's Insurance Fund, and a grant of 500,000 kr. for the purpose of facilitating the introduction' of workmen's accident insurance and the formation of sick clubs. G. I; App. 4, 1, 184, 4, 5; 10, 237, 6; Ch. I. iv. 56, 8; Ch. II. v., 70, 30.

In view of a motion relating to legal proceedings taken by workmen injured by accident, the Riksdag requests the Government to extend the powers of the State Insurance Office and enable it to express expert opinions in cases of accident. 4.-Workmen's Dwellings.
