REPORT TO THE ATTORNEY-GENERAL CONCERNING THE EXAMINATION OF THE DRAFT OF THE REVISED STATUTES.

To the Hon. the Attorney-General of the Province of Quebec:

SIR,

In accordance with your letter of the 10th of July, 1887, by which you requested us to examine with you the draft of the revision of the General Statutes of the Province of Quebec, in order to enable the Government to issue the proclamation, fixing the date of the coming into force of these Statutes, we have the honor to inform you that we have examined the work of the Commission which has been submitted to us; that in such examination we have compared the old and the new text, the whole under the conditions set forth by the act 50 Victoria, chapter 5; that we revised the reprint of the work so examined by us, and that, in so far as we could form a correct opinion by the application of such tests as we could apply, we consider that the work has been well done, and that the Revised Statutes as now printed may be put into force as soon as finally printed, published and deposited according to law.
