The Hymn-book contains Seventy-four popular Mission Hymns which are not in Hymns Ancient and Modern,' and may therefore be found useful as a Supplement to that book. The Creed, the Lord's Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and Baptismal Vows are given, so that all persons may have before them the subjects of the Instructions, which should form so important a part in every Mission.

Special efforts have been made to provide suitable Hymns to follow the Instructions, and also for use at the Intercessory Meetings and the Meetings of Church Workers.

A Special Tune-book has not been published, but references are given at the head of each Hymn to several well-known books of Tunes.
