CHAPTER 1

An Act for granting to His Majesty certain Sums of
Money for the Public Service of the Fiscal
Periods ending respectively the Twenty-eighth
day of February, 1913, and the Thirtieth day of
April, 1914.

MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN:

HEREAS it appears by messages from His Honour Preamble George William Brown, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, and the estimates accompanying the said messages, that the sums hereinafter mentioned are required to defray certain expenses of the public service of Saskatchewan not otherwise provided for during the financial periods ending respectively the twenty-eighth day of February one thousand nine hundred and thirteen and the thirtieth day of April one thousand nine hundred and fourteen and for other purposes relating thereto: May it therefore please your Majesty that it may be enacted and be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as "The Appropriation Act Short Title 1912-13."

From and out of the general revenue fund there may $1,506,555.17 be paid and applied a sum not exceeding in the whole one 1912-13 million five hundred and six thousand five hundred and fiftyfive dollars and seventeen cents towards defraying the several charges and expenses of the public service from the first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twelve to the twenty-eighth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen not otherwise provided for and set forth in schedule A to this Act.

From and out of the general revenue fund there may $9,230,572.99 be paid and applied a sum not exceeding in the whole nine granted for million two hundred and thirty thousand five hundred and seventy-two dollars and ninety-nine cents towards defraying the several charges and expenses of the public service from the first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen to the thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen not otherwise provided for and set forth in schedule this B to Act.

4. From and out of the telephone revenue fund there may be paid and applied a sum not exceeding in the whole nine hundred and seventy-five thousand dollars towards defraying the several charges and expenses of the public service from the first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen to the thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen not otherwise provided for and set forth in schedule C to this Act.

5. Where moneys are granted by this Act for the payment of the salary of an office or clerkship in the inside or outside division of the public service for the fiscal period ending the thirtieth day of April one thousand nine hundred and fourteen and there is nothing to the contrary in the Order in Council or other instrument appointing or promoting any person to such office or clerkship the appointment or promotion shall take effect from the first day of March one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

6. The due application of all moneys expended under this Act shall be accounted for.
