CHAPTER 2

An Act to amend The Saskatchewan Election Act.

[Assented to December 19, 1913.]

IS Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the
Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:

1. Section 274 of The Saskatchewan Election Act is amended Section 274 by inserting therein immediately after subsection (2) the following as subsection (2a):

“(2a) The enumerator shall at the same time deliver or cause to be delivered a copy of the said Act to the clerk or secretary treasurer as the case may be of the municipality within which the polling subdivision is wholly or mainly situated to be posted up for public inspection in the office or residence of the said clerk or secretary treasurer."

(2) Subsection (3) of the said section 274 is amended by Subsection striking out all the words after the word "during" where it occurs in the fourth line thereof and substituting therefor the words "four consecutive days before the polling day between the hours of nine o'clock a.m. and six o'clock p.m. and the enumerator shall attend for that purpose at the time and place so designated."

2. Section 286 of The Saskatchewan Election Act, as amended Section 286 by section 22 of chapter 35 of the Acts of 1909, is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor:

"286. Until otherwise provided by the Lieutenant Governor Suspension of provisions in Council the operation of sections 15 to 87 both inclusive and 287 to 345 both inclusive of this Act is suspended, and with respect to any election which is held during the said period of suspension the provisions of sections 269 to 285 of this Act shall apply."

CHAPTER 3

An Act to amend The Treasury Department Act.

IS Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the
Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:

1. Section 11 of The Treasury Department Act is hereby amended by striking out the word "six" in the twelfth line and substituting therefor the word "twelve."

2. Section 12 of the said Act, as amended by section 3 of chapter 6 of the statutes of 1912-13, is amended by striking out the word "fifth" in the third line and substituting therefor the word "fifteenth."

CHAPTER 4

An Act to amend The Telephone Department Act.

IS Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the
Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan enacts as follows:

1. The first subsection of section 12 of The Telephone Section 12 Department Act is repealed and the following substituted therefor:

"12. For the purpose of raising the funds required for the purpose of this Act and The Rural Telephone Act the Lieutenant Governor in Council shall have power to authorise the provincial treasurer from time to time to issue securities of the province and the sums of money hereby authorised to be raised. by the way of loan shall be raised as provided by The Saskatchewan Loan Act and the sums raised under the authority of this Act shall form part of the general revenue fund of Saskatchewan."

2. Subsection (2) of section 12 of the said Act is amended Section 12 by striking out the word "debentures" where it occurs therein amended and substituting therefor the word "securities."

3. Section 7 of chapter 4 of the statutes of 1912-13 is 1912-13, c. 4, amended by striking out the figures "26" where they occur in the second and third lines and by substituting therefor the figures "35."
