HE first edition of this d104-book has been out of print for some little time, but professional work has prevented my revising it until now, as its revision involved considerable labour, owing to the passing of the Arbitration Act of 1889, which came into operation in January 1890. This Act I have thought it desirable to print in full, as it is so important a part of the subject, and I have added some new and important cases.
