[according to the number of the said tenants.] Witness, that in pursuance of the powers and authorities for that purpose given in and by an act passed in the fifth year of the reign of her present majesty Queen Victoria, intituled, "An Act for the Commutation of certain Manorial Rights in respect of Lands of Copyhold and Customary Tenure, and in respect of other Lands subject to such Rights, and for facilitating the Enfranchisement of such Lands, and for the Improvement of such Tenure," the said parties abovenamed, lord and tenants of the said manor, to the number of [or being all the tenants of the said manor], do hereby contract and agree for the enfranchisement of the lands described in the schedule hereunder written [or as the case may be], in consideration of a sum to be paid in respect of the said lands described in the schedule hereunder written, to the said A. B., his executors, administrators, and assigns; or in consideration of a rent-charge to be paid in respect of all the lands described in the schedule hereunder written. And it is hereby agreed that such rent-charge shall be the sum of pounds, but shall be variable from time to time according to the price of corn as in *This will be a corn-rent, see 6 & 7 Vict. c. 23, s. 1, ante, p. 370.
