AN ACT to amend the Boundaries of Reserve A^1720 (The King's Park).

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Permanent Reserve (King's Short title. Park Act), 1917.

2. That portion described in Part 1 of the Schedule to this Amendment of Act of the King's Park (Reserve A 1720) is hereby excised boundaries. therefrom, and revested in His Majesty, and Perth Suburban Lot 127, containing three acres three roods and eleven perches or thereabouts, and that portion of a Government road described in Part 2 of the Schedule to this Act, are hereby included in and shall form part of the King's Park (Reserve A1720), such portion of the said road being hereby closed.

sion of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sum hereinafter mentioned and do, therefore, most humbly beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted: And be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. There shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply granted to His Majesty for the service of the year from 1st July, 1917, to 30th June, 1918, the Sum of One Million Four Hundred and Fifty-six Thousand Pounds (including One Hundred Thousand pounds appropriated to purposes of the State Trading Concerns) out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, and from Moneys to Credit of the General Loan Fund Four Hundred Thousand Pounds; and from Moneys to credit of the Government Property Sales Fund Seventy Thousand Pounds, and there shall and may be issued and applied out of the Public Account the sum of Three Hundred Thousand Pounds for the purposes of temporary advances to be made by the Colonial Treasurer; and the Treasurer of Western Australia is hereby authorised and empowered to issue and apply the moneys authorised to be issued and applied, and to make temporary advances accordingly.

2. The said sums shall be available to satisfy the warrants under the hand of the Governor, under the provisions of the law now in force, in respect of any Services voted by the Legislative Assembly during the financial year ending 30th June, 1918, or issued for such purposes; and all expenditure for the purposes of temporary advances as aforesaid shall be recouped by charging the specific appropriations of Parliament applicable thereto, or by the recovery thereof from the Governments or persons on whose account the advances may have been made.

That portion of Reserve AA1720 commencing at the North-East corner of Perth Suburban Lot 131, and extending 75° 23', 3 chains 54,5 links, thence 147° 11', 3 chains 49 links; thence 172° 21', 3 chains 9,5 links; thence 185° 25', 2 chains 635 links; thence 256° 22′, 3 chains 33 links; thence 345° 12', 8 chains 87% links, to the point of commencement; containing 3 acres 2 roods 24 perches or thereabouts.

That portion of a Government road commencing at the North-East corner of Perth Suburban Lot 127, and extending 345° 3', 1 chain; thence 255° 23′, 2 chains 89 links; thence 179° 36′, 1 chain 3 links, to the North-West corner of Perth Suburban Lot 127; thence 75° 23′, 3 chains 15% links, to the point of commencement, containing 0 acres 1 rood 8 perches or thereabouts.

AN ACT to amend the War Council Act, 1915, and to ratify the distribution of certain Funds of the W.A. Central Sandbag Committee.

Central Sand-bag Com- Ratification of the mittee, pursuant to a resolution passed on the thirteenth day distribution of funds of February, One thousand nine hundred and seventeen, Sand-bag to the War Patriotic Fund, the Victoria League (Trench Committee. Comfort Funds of Western Australian Battalions), and the Red Cross Society (Amelioration Fund), of the moneys then in the hands of the said committee, and the payments made in accordance therewith, are hereby ratified, and the said Committee and the members thereof are hereby released and discharged from all trusts and obligations relating to the said moneys.
