Mr. A. J. Gregory, K.C., of Fredericton, has been elected president of the New Brunswick Barristers' Society.

Mr. Roscoe S. Rodd, who has returned from overseas, has entered the firm of Rodd, Wigle and McHugh in Windsor, Ontario.

Mr. Howard Morwick, who has returned from overseas, has entered the firm of Langs and Binkley of Hamilton, Ont.

Mr. Titus J. Carter, K.C., of Andover, N.B., has been appointed solicitor for the Department of Works at Ottawa.

A Law-Students Association has been formed at Hamilton, Ontario, of which Mr. Walter Burns has been elected President, and Mr. Wm. McClemont, Secretary-Treasurer.

His Honour Judge Snider, of Hamilton, Ont., has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Conciliation which will investigate the dispute between the Grand River and Lake Erie and Northern Railways and their employees.

Mr. Joseph B. Walkem, K.C., has now completed fifty years of law practice in Kingston, Ont. This record, however, is surpassed by Mr. George A. Consitt, of Perth, Ont., who has been practising law for over sixty-eight years in that city.

Colonel Sanders, D.S.O., having served at the front with distinction, has resumed his duties as Police Magistrate at Calgary, Alta.

Captain C. Russel Widdifield, formerly of 93rd Battalion, C.E.F., has been appointed City Solicitor at Peterborough, Ontario.

Mr. D'Arcy Scott, of Ottawa, late of the Railway Commission, has returned to the practice of the law in that city.

Alexander Carpenter Beasley, of the firm of Beasley and Beasley, of Hamilton, at Hamilton, on December 29th, in his 59th year.

His Honour Judge Wm. McKay Reade, senior judge of Waterloo County, on January 26th, at Waterloo, Ont., in his 65th year.

James Holmes Macdonald, K.C., of the firm of Macdonald, Shepley, Donald, and Mason, of Toronto, on Tuesday, February 3rd, at Toronto, in his 74th

year.

Duncombe E. Edwards, of Edmonton, Alta., on February 7th, at Edmonton, in his 69th year.

George R. McCord, D.S.O., of Sackville, N.B., at Sackville, in his 46th year.

George Murray, K.C., of Toronto, Ont., on February 2nd, at West Toronto, in his 91st year.

William Emmery Wilson, of Toronto, and formerly of Pembroke, on January 20th, at Toronto, in his 33rd year.

Alfred Girard, prothonotary of the Superior Court, of Montreal, on February 17th, at Montreal, in his 60th year.

Louis Gordon Glass, of Montreal, on February 17th, at Montreal, in his 52nd year.
