WE

E, Your Majesty's Most Dutiful and Loyal Subjects, the Preamble. Members of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in Parliament assembled, towards making good the Supply which we have cheerfully granted to Your Majesty in this Session of Parliament, have resolved to grant unto Your Majesty the sum hereinafter mentioned; and do, therefore, most humbly beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted: And be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and

Sums available for purposes voted by the Legislative Assembly

consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. There shall and may be issued and applied for or towards making good the supply granted to His Majesty for the service of the year from 1st July, 1910, to 30th June, 1911, the Sum of Two Hundred and Seven Thousand Four Hundred and Forty-three Pounds out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, and the Treasurer of Western Australia is hereby authorised and empowered to issue and apply the moneys authorised to be issued and applied.

2. The said sums shall be available to satisfy the warrants under the hand of the Governor, under the provisions of the law now in force, in respect of any Services voted by the Legislative Assembly during the financial year ending 30th June, 1911.

AN ACT to impose a Land Tax and an Income

Tax.

[Assented to 23rd December, 1910.]

MOST GRACIOUS SOVEREIGN.-

WE

E, Your Majesty's most dutiful and loyal subjects, the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia in Parliament assembled, towards raising the necessary supplies to defray Your Majesty's public expenses, and making an addition to the public revenue, have freely and voluntarily resolved to give and grant unto Your Majesty the duties hereinafter mentioned, and do therefore most humbly beseech Your Majesty that it may be enacted: And be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Preamble.

1. This Act may be cited as the Land Tax and Income Tax Short title. Act, 1910.

2. For the year ending the thirtieth day of June, one thousand Grant of Land Tax nine hundred and eleven, there shall be charged, levied, collected, and Income Tax. and paid. for the use of His Majesty, under and subject to the

exemptions,

exemptions, deductions, and rebate enacted in the Land and Income Tax Assessment Act, 1907, and in manner therein prescribed(a.) a land tax at the rate of one penny for every pound sterling of the unimproved value, as assessed by or under the said Act, of all land chargeable with such tax; and

(b.) an income tax at the rate of fourpence for every pound sterling of the amount of all incomes as assessed under the said Act:

Provided that section fifty-six of the said Act shall not apply to the land and income tax to be levied and collected for the financial year ending thirtieth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. All that piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule Change of purpose hereto, being a portion of the permanent reserve at Bunbury numbered AA is hereby excised from the said reserve, and is ΑΛ constituted a public reserve and numbered and is dedicated to 13077, the purpose of a site for the Eastern Goldfields Fresh Air League Institution.

THE SCHEDULE.

That piece or parcel of land known as Bunbury Town Lot 366, containing about one acre and three-quarters, the South-East corner thereof being the intersection of the West side of Malcolm Street and the North side of Carey Street, and the East boundary extending North along the said West side of Malcolm Street for a distance of three chains ten links, and the South boundary extending West along the said North side of Carey Street.
