CHAPTER 48.

An Act to amend "The Registry Act."

[Assented to June 1st, 1900.]

ER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

1. Section 78 of Chapter 135 of the Revised Statutes of S. 78 of Act Manitoba is hereby amended by adding after the words "District Registrar," in the first and fourth lines of said section, the words "or Registrar."

CHAPTER 49.

An Act to amend "The Shops Regulations Act."

ER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province o Manitoba, enacts as follows:

1. Paragraph (a) of section 2 of Chapter 140 of the Revised Statutes of Manitoba is hereby amended by striking out all the words in the said paragraph which follow the word "premises" in the seventh line of said paragraph. Section 3 of the said Act, as substituted by section 2 of Chapter 32 of the Statutes passed in the fifty-seventh year of Her Majesty's reign, is hereby amended by striking out the word in the fifth line of the said substituted section 3, and inserting the word "six" in the place and stead thereof, and also by adding thereto the following sub-section :

"(a) Any municipal council having passed any by-law, in or repeal any pursuance of the provisions of this Act, may from time to time, by by-law, amend the said by-law, changing the hours when the said shops shall be closed and remain closed, and substituting such other hours in the place and stead of the hours mentioned in the by-law, and may repeal any by-law passed, or to be passed, and may pass any new by-law for closing the same, or any other shops, either with or without any petition therefor being presented to the Council."
