Memorial of the United States in Support of the Claim.

The above-entitled case consists of the following claims, to wit:

The Home, Frontier and Foreign Missionary Society of the United Brethren in Christ (as represented by their successors and assigns, the Foreign Missionary Society of the United Brethren in Christ), for the loss and destruction of mission property by the natives of Sierra Leone at the times and places and in the manner hereinafter set forth, and the claims of J. R. King, L. O. Burtner, F. S. Minshall, A. T. Howard, Arthur A. Ward, Estate of I. N. Cain, Estate of L. A. McGrew, Estate of Marietta Hatfield, Estate of Mary C. Archer, Estate of Ella Schenck, and Estate of J. A. Evans, missionaries formerly in the service of the abovenamed Society, for the loss and destruction of personal property to them belonging.

The Foreign Missionary Society of the United Brethren in Christ is a corporation incorporated and existing under the laws of the State of Ohio, and has its principal office for the transaction of business in the city of Dayton, in that State. This Society is the successor of the Home, Frontier and Foreign Missionary Society of the United Brethren in Christ, a corporation incorporated and which heretofore existed under the laws of the State of Ohio. The Foreign Missionary Society of the United Brethren in Christ has acquired all right and title to the interests of its above
