11.-METHOD OF CALCULATING INTEREST AT

FIVE PER CENT.

Multiply the principal by the number of days, and divide by 7,300, EXAMPLE: To find the interest at 5 per cent, on £312 for 260 days.

The interest at 5 per cent. being found as above, interest at 3 per cent. is found by multiplying the interest so found by 3, and dividing by 5; at 31, 4, or 41 per cent, by multiplying by the rate required, and dividing by 5; and at 21, by taking half the interest at 5 per cent.
