AN ACT to amend the Railway and Theatre
Refreshment Rooms Licensing Act, 1895.

[Assented to, 7th October, 1902.]

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. THIS Act may be cited as the Railway and Theatre Refreshment Rooms Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1902.

2. SECTION eleven of the Railway and Theatre Refreshment Rooms Licensing Act, 1895 (hereinafter referred to as the principal Vict., No. 15, 8. 11. Act), is hereby amended by inserting, in line two, after the word "station," the words "or of any railway restaurant car," and in lines ten and thirteen, after the word "stand," the words "or in such railway restaurant car"; and by adding at the end of the section the words " Provided, also, that no liquor shall be sold in any railway restaurant car except while such car is attached to a travelling train, and at no time to any person who is not travelling by such train.

3. SECTION twelve of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting, in the fourth line, after the word "stand," the words “or railway restaurant car."

4. THE Second Schedule to the principal Act is hereby amended the Second Schedule. by inserting in Form No. II., in the second line, after the word "station," the words "[or of the railway restaurant car, numbered or marked ]," and in the third line, after the word "station," the words "[or in the said car]," and, in the sixth line, after the word "station," the words "[or car]," and in the ninth line, after the words "or stand," the words "[or in the said railway restaurant car while attached to a travelling train]."

Licenses may be transferred.

5. ANY license granted under Part II. of the principal Act may be transferred to the lessee or owner for the time being of the refreshment room, stand, or railway restaurant car by indorsement under the hand of the Commissioner.

AN ACT to secure an Annuity to Susan

Letitia O'Connor for Life.

[Assented to, 7th October, 1902.]

HEREAS it is expedient to recognise the services as Engineerin-Chief of the late Charles Yelverton O'Connor, C.M.G., by an annuity of Two hundred and fifty pounds sterling, to be granted to his widow, Susan Letitia O'Connor, for her life: Be it therefore enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. A YEARLY sum of Two hundred and fifty pounds sterling Annuity to Susan shall be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue of the State of Letitia O'Connor. Western Australia to the said Susan Letitia O'Connor for the term

of her natural life, by equal monthly instalments, commencing the first day of October in the present year.

2. EVERY assignment of, and every charge on, and every agreement to assign or charge such annuity shall be void.

AN ACT to apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and from Moneys to Credit of the General Loan Fund the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Pounds to the Service of the Year ending 30th June, 1903.
