An Act to rectify Clerical Errors in the "Bulkley Valley 1911, c. 7.
Official Map Act."

IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the "Bulkley Valley Official Map Short title. Act Amendment Act, 1913."

2. The Schedule to the "Bulkley Valley Official Map Act," being Amends Schedule. chapter 7 of the Statutes of 1911, is hereby amended as follows:

(a.) By substituting in the second column of the Schedule

"January 29, 1907" for "January 21, 1907" as the date
of Crown Grant 1657/197 of Lot 202:

(b.) By substituting in the first column of the Schedule "S.E.
14 S. 9" for "E. 12 S. 9" as the short description of the
land comprised in Crown Grant 809/169:

(c.) By adding in said first column "& N.E. 14 S. 9" to the short description of land comprised in Crown Grant 997/173:

(d.) By substituting "813/169" for "814/169" as the number of the Crown grant of the North Half of Lot 1216.

3. This Act shall be read and construed as if it had been enacted Commencement of on the date of the passing of said chapter 7.

An Act respecting the Construction of Sewers and Drains in Burrard Peninsula.

IS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

Short Title.

1. This Act may be cited as the "Burrard Peninsula Joint Short title. Sewerage Act."

Interpretation.

2. Where the following expressions or words occur in this Act, or Interpretation. in any rules and regulations to be made under or confirmed by this Act, they shall be construed in the manner following, unless the context otherwise requires:

Municipality" means and it includes any and every incor-
porated municipality or municipality that may hereafter
become incorporated within the sewerage district, whether
city or district, and whether incorporated by special Act
of the Legislature or under the provisions of the "Munici-
palities Incorporation Act":

Sewerage district" shall mean that part of the Province of
British Columbia bounded on the north by Burrard Inlet,
on the west by English Bay and the Gulf of Georgia, on
the south by the North Arm of the Fraser River and the
present boundary between the Municipality of Burnaby
and the City of New Westminster, and on the east by the
present boundary between the Municipalities of Burnaby
and Coquitlam:

"Street" shall include every highway, road, boulevard, square,
row, lane, mews, court, alley, and passage, whether a
thoroughfare or not:

"House" shall include schools, factories, and other buildings,
huts, and tents used for human habitation or work, whether
such use is permanent or temporary, and whether the same
are stationary or movable:
"Owner" means any male or female who is the assessed owner
of land or real property within the sewerage district, and
shall include any corporation whose name appears on the
assessment roll of the municipality as the assessed owner
of land or real property within such district, or any person
for the time being receiving the rent of the lands or real
property in connection with which the work is used, whether
on his own account or as an agent or trustee for any other
person, or who would so receive the same if such lands or
real property were let:

Watercourse" shall include all rivers, streams, creeks, or
lakes, whether ordinarily carrying or containing water or
not:

"Sewer" shall mean any conduit, pipe, or channel, together
with its appurtenances, used for the conveyance of domestic
sewerage, factory refuse, or any other polluting liquid:
"Public sewer" shall mean any sewer constructed by or belong-
ing to any municipality or Sewerage Board:
"Private sewer" shall mean any sewer other than a public

"Main sewer ""
shall mean any public sewer which shall be
constructed, purchased, or otherwise acquired as such
under the provisions of this Act, or any existing sewer
appearing in the report referred to in section 14 hereof:
"Local sewer" shall mean any public sewer other than a main

sewer:

"Drain" shall mean any artificial channel constructed for the conveyance of surface water.

3. (1.) For the purpose of carrying this Act into execution, there shall be a Board, to be named and styled the "Burrard Peninsula Joint Sewerage Board" (hereinafter called "the Board"), to be constituted as hereinafter provided.

(2.) The said Board shall be composed of a chairman, who shall be the chief executive officer of the Board, and one member for each municipality within the sewerage district, and, in the event of any district or area becoming incorporated as a separate municipality, one additional member for each of such municipalities; and in the

event of any municipalities becoming annexed to each other, such annexed municipalities shall have the same representatives upon the Board as the separate ones now have.

4. The chairman, who shall not be a member of the Council of Chairman appointed by Lieut.-Governor any of the municipalities, shall be appointed by the Lieutenant- in Council. Governor in Council, and shall remain in office during the pleasure

5. The other members of the Board shall be appointed by the Other members. 6.
